U0401 code
My 2014 GT with 46k miles in it is showing the U0401 code when I scanned it. The only light that shows in my dash is the TPMS light is on. Are these two related?

Possible, but this error is a communications error specifically from the engine computer. It's not talking correctly to the rest of the car. The TPMS could just be a low tire.
You'd really want it to be a low/dead battery, because that'd be easy. No guarantees, but this is one of the potential causes. I wouldn't go buyin' a battery, of course, but I'd get it tested along with the alternator, and also check any chassis grounds you can find too.
If it's not the battery, then it's *hopefully* a wiring/connector issue. Perhaps a connector has the green crud, or a wire is chafed and shorting. The problem is it requires proper diagnostics and/or tools. Meters, tracing, and wiring diagrams are going to be in order. Not sayin' you can't do it, but it's a process, and it can be long and drawn out.
The other thing is the engine computer is... unhappy. You'd kinda not want that to be the case.
I think that's about it. If not, I'm sure someone will chime in. You may need a pro if you're not comfortable/familiar with how to do this stuff, or you can watch youtubes on diagnosing wires/codes like this. maybe. Eric O of South Main Auto has a few of these, he's excellent as a teacher, because even though he's 'just doing the work', he explains it really well.
Hope that helps. Good luck!

Probably a Low battery, it can be anything from the Crankshaft sensor low input on starting to an invalid reading on the MAF or Temp sensor. Normally will self clear after a few start cycles. If it doesn't clear but ytou might need to take it in and see what sensor is going out.

I also have a 2014 GT. Ran about 117k kms.
So I gave the car to my wife and after sometime she calls me up and says car ain't starting. So I took a look and battery is fine and all. Key fob was working. Just that engine ain't cranking. And engine light is ON. Hooked it up to obd reader and got 3 codes.
P1260, U3000 and U0401.
Tried various hacks from battery terminal disconnect to key fob button reset. Nothing worked.
Finally went to the dealer and guy said faulty ignition starter switch. Part no: SW-6958. They changed it.
Got the car 2 days back, car is running fine and no more engine light. Hooked it up to obd again and saw the U0401 code AGAIN!
Thats my story. Dunno whats up.
