I finally broke free from my work schedule a bit, and was able to attend two mustang meets the last couple of days. It was a BLAST. The highlights of what I saw: a Roushcharged 427R, a 2013 Red Candy 5.0, a Mach 1, and a REALLY gorgeous 65 Stang.... some swirls on it, but other than that, perfect.

What's funny though, I used to own imports all my life... and whenever I went to car shows, I was either snubbed, or there really wasn't much interest in the car. Now, with Marilyn and her 5.0 badge, I get corralled and asked to park NEXT to them... LOL. Before I'd park in the back. Just a diff't crowd I guess? Car racism? LOL. All good.

So I just thought I'd share pics. Unedited pics.

Started out the morning with 5:45 am car wash. Nothing soothes the soul like an early sun creeping through the clouds, birds chirping, and 2 hours to just spoil your garage queen. lol. Finished it off by putting a coat of Fuzion, to let it cure in time for the car show at 1 pm.




The result of just a wash, on swirl free Kona Blue paint. LOVE IT. Massive flake pop.






Now onto the car show. At the end, you'll also see a 100th anniversary Vette. Like the one Eli Manning won at the Super Bowl. Pretty cool. Still wouldn't trade Marilyn for one of those...

Everything looks great. One thing, is the leather on that recaro seat already Cracking?

Thx man. You guys should have seen that 65. That was by far the cleanest and best restoration I've ever seen. He has factory standings on almost all parts underneath the car.

 

Love those seats. How's the comfort? I've never sat in recaros.

 

It's not my car, but a buddy's. I did get a chance to sit in it yesterday though. MUCH comfier than the stock seats in my 12.

On another note, another car show this Thursday, can't wait. I gotta prep her up for that too. Should be a big one.
