Tune & CAI Review

Folks,

Installed the (Steeda) CAI & Evo tune today, it's Truly Outrages, if Anyone is on the Fence about getting this Combo I have Two Words DO IT!!! It's 91degrees with a Dewpoint of 68 out there during my Road test, I dropped the tires to 26psi and did a Lite Burn out. Going from a Dead Stop just mashing it, as Soon as it gets to ~5700 it Spins, goes to redline and BAM Chirps(Nasty Spin) into 2nd, same with third, and PULLS like Crazy to 120 where I got out of it..sound is improved to (Intake sound).

There IS One rather Big Problem though, with the Traction Contron 100% Off (Button Hold down for 5 seconds) it Hits 2nd SOO Hard that the traction control Kicks in and Kills it!! This happens ~ Once every 3 or so passes....How is this Happening with the TC OFF?????

Was the traction completely off or just in sport mode?

Sounds awesome. Yeah you have to hold the brake pedal down as well as the TC button for like 8 seconds, you should get an indicator on the dash that the TC is full off.

Dag nabbit, I should be getting the exact same combo tomorrow hopefully anyways. How long did it take steeda to get your cai to you, there having to do the samething and ship directly to me.

Also shifts feel any better?

Judging by the OP's avatar, he doesn't have a Brembo car, and doesn't have the ESC Sport mode.

Judging by the number of caps in the text, he does all of his "shifting" on the keyboard, hence the automatic.

Sounds like a lot of fun though...and money well spent. I suppose it's safe to assume that once again, the automatic equipt cars will benefit more from the tune....true?

You don't have to hold it down for 7 seconds to shut it off. You just have to press it.

Autos have sport mode too.

holding it down for 5-7 seconds turns off the Advance Trac and Traction Control.
It's a lot better with the AT&TC off. As with just the TC off, the car is still restricted.

The way it's worded through the website is that only the 2010 Track Pack GT's and 2011 Brembo GT's have the ESC with sport mode/unique calibration.

hmm, I don't know- I mean in mine I have the sport mode pop up. Hold brake + tap button twice. I wonder which don't? Maybe just the Base... not sure.

and yea most def, very easy to keep it sideways with the AT off.

The GT Premiums Auto's have Sport mode too, think all prem. do, but the Brembo have a specailly calibrated sports mode.

I have a 2011 GT, non-Brembo car. It still has the sport mode. The wording on the website is just to make it seem unique to that package - it is not. Brake pedal applied - tap the button twice - AdvanceTrak Sport Mode on!

I've got a base GT with 3.73's and it has sport mode.I just installed the Steeda CAI/tune combo and it transformed a already fast car into a monster with ESC/TC off it will spinn wheels through 4th gear and pulls like a freight train.I dont have any numbers and probably wont be going to the track or dyno anytime soon but seat of the pants dyno tells me all I need to know for now.
