Trading my 2010 Camaro for a 2012 GT

Ordered a 2012 GT premium in June to replace my
2010 Camaro SS/RS 6 speed manual. Should be here by
the end of this month.
Hope I made the right decision, got a good deal because
the dealer sells both Fords and Chevys, and allowed me
a good trade in.
I noticed that many options standard on my Camaro
in the two option packages[2SS RS] cost extra on the GT.
such as hid's, heated seats, 20 wheels, brembo brakes
front and rear

How much did you pay for your Camaro? A loaded GT should still be cheaper. Congrats anyway your getting a way better car.

Awesome! Congrats on your new purchase. I don't think I've seen many camaro guys switching to a mustang around here, glad you finally came to your senses

that is my biggest beef with the camaro, outside looks are subjective, but drivers seat visibility IMO was absolutely horrid from sitting in one at the auto show...on the outside, I'm not a huge fan of either end of the camaro, nor of the back end of the mustang, but I wish our mustangs had the 10-up interior...dont dislike mine, but loved the 10+

the camaro I felt claustrophobic sitting in- beltline is kinda high in the stang, but just way too much in the camaro. I think the off idle torque in the camaro would be great fun in day to day driving, but not with that interior.

I really think if GM woulda done a better job on the interior (and both bumpers/lights), the camaro coulda been great. other than the backend I like the new mustangs all around, but gotta admit I like the bloated/heavy Challenger better than both current models...its interior is not quite as good as the mustangs in my opinion, but still very nice and functionality/visibility looked good to me.

always glad to hear camaro moving to ford- actually, even like hearing the other way around too- it helps keep them on their toes if they see someone jump ship once in a while hopefully both cars will be even better next year

I agree , blind spots galore and I had to lean forward and look up to see red lights ... To bad tho could be a great car.. Its like Chevy made the car , then someone sat in it and said UH-Oh guys we didnt see this ...

Well it finnaly came in took delivery today.
really loving it. Looks better sounds and handles better now I see why the Stang comes out on top in all the road tests!
Got a great deal but when the dealer called and told me it would be less [$1500] due to a factory rebate it cost exactly 5024.64 including tax , tags out the door

Nice car. Always found GM vehicles were more expensive at every level including the trucks. GM muscle cars got too expensive in the 80s and 90s so the Mustang still survived uninterrupted. Hopefully the pricepoints on the new muscle cars will be more competetive to keep the new horsepower wars going as long as fuel is argueably somewhat affordable.
