Track Pack versus Standard Suspension

Do Mustang "enthusiasts" really go to the dealer for replacement tires? And do real Mustang enthusiasts buy the exact same tires when their stickers wear out? At least for those that buy a "Track Pack", I would think they will be open to trying different tires, especially those that live in the states that have real winters. I don't agree with that statement above. I feel that a customer who goes for the Track Pack is going to shop around for different tires and probably wheels too. And they won't go to the dealership unless there is a coupon or special. Jmo though.

You're probably right. But if the performance and feel of the Track Pack is based around the Pirelli tires, then the car won't feel "right" if someone buys a different set of tires, especially if that person decides to "go cheap" and purchase a lesser set of tires.

One thing Groot wrote was that the 19 inch wheels ride better (smoother) than the 18 inch wheels. Does anyone else agree with this or know why this would be the case? It seems counterintuitive to me, but I've never tried both wheels.

For those of you complaining about the cost of the Pirellis should realize there are very good alternatives for less money. Goodyear F1 GSD3 are $294 a pop as well as some Conti Extreme Contacts for around $224. These are just a small example that are available. You think the 255's are expensive with the Pirelllis wait to you see the prices for a 305/30/19..$500 a pop for the PCar. I'm moving into a set of Bridgestones RE050's next for almost half the cost.
