Track Pack and Brembo Brake Packs

this is a weird question but lets say i wanted to look for a 2014 car but wanted to get one with the track pack. how can i distinguish it from a 2014 car that just has the brembo brake package? most used cars will not have the original dealer window sticker so i would have to base it off of something else...some other way of knowing what the car has and what it doesnt.
i see a lot of mustangs with the brembo brakes and wheels but are they equipped with the track pack also?
any help in this area?
thanks,

What I do is get the VIN and run it through Fords VIN decoder to tell what is installed on the car.

I think the Brembo brake package was only for the automatic cars and the Track Pack was for the manual 6 speeds. From what I understand, you could not get the track pack with the automatic. Not sure if you could just get the Brembo package with the 6 speed manual without getting the Track Pack.

But the VIN decoder will tell for sure like Jazzman stated above.

I think this is wrong. It says only the manual cars were available for the Brembo package either way, from the 2014 brochure:

Brembo™ Brake Package includes Brembo 14"
vented front rotors with Brembo 4-piston calipers,
unique electronic stability control suspension
tuning, and 19" dark stainless-painted aluminum
wheels with 255/40R19 summer-only performance
tires (manual transmission only)

GT Track Package includes all content of Brembo
Brake Package plus 3.73:1 gear ratio with TORSEN®
helical gear differential, BOSS® 302 radiator, and
engine oil cooler (manual coupe only)

This, they painted the tubes and axle housing on TP cars as well. This should be a fairly easy way to tell.

You CAN get the brembo package with an automatic (I just built one on ford's website), but the track pack is only for manuals.

^Yes,This is probably the easiest way to tell. Also if it has the correct factory oil cap, it will read, 5w50 oil.

Track Packs are all manuals, and look under the hood, should have a front tower strut bar and the cap for the motor oil should say 5w-50 only.

Wow. Massive amount of misinformation here. The brembo pkg in 2012 was only on manual cars. In 2013 and 2014 it was available in auto ALSO. The track pack however was manual only. The description you posted saying "manual transmission only" is talking about that feature. So the summer tires aren't on the auto brembo. "Manual coupe only" means that track pack feature isn't available on verts. Also the strut tower bar has nothing to do with the brembo or track pack.

Best way to tell is painted axles, finned diff cover, and/or oil cap.

The '13 auto convertibles with Brembos have summer tires, but they are Goodyear F1 supercar tires.

More misinformation, my car has Goodyear F1 SuperCar summer tires that came on it from the factory.

All I said was how to identify a track pack under the hood, the 5w-50 oil cap and they all come with a front strut bar.

thanks for the responses....so it seems that im not the only one confused on how to tell one from another. at least the painted axle and oil cap (if its still stock) could be the tell's on what car is what....or i could just buy another boss and not worry about it!
school bus yellow or race red will take care of that issue....

thanks again!

I know people that have the same option, that is why I was saying I thought it was wrong. It was printed as such in the brochure though, lol.

I understand that the f1's are summer tires, I was simple explaining what they meant by saying "manual only" as he interpreted that as the entire package is manual only, I pointed out that it was only referring to the tire line. That being said, the f1's are a max performance summer that use a p-metric measurement. That means they have lower load capacity and are designed for passenger vehicles (i.e. Not sporty) that just happen to not work well on ice.

No worries. I understand what you said and seconded your point of the cap. However the strut bar would be there on even a non brembo. So that's not a good tool to determine.

As I said, the brochure was not referring to the entire package when it said this.
