Took my 2011 5.0 to an auto-x at Mustang Week - Pics/Impressions
I must say, for my first ever event, I had such a blast. I was very impressed with how the 5.0 handled the moist track.
I kept it in Sport mode, just incase the rear came out to say hi before I would have time to correct it. Did not want to make a fool out of myself with a couple hundred people watching. overall, the car handled great. Understeer was very limited for the conditions, and with Sport mode, drifting was easily controlled.
There had to be 50 or so cars, half of which 03-04 Cobras. After my 1st and only hot lap, I knew it was decently fast with a time of 34.1, but after I asked others their time. I was very pleased to find it was one of the fastest. I only made 1 pass, others made 2-3 laps. At the end of the event, I ended up in 4th. I wish I had made a few other passes, I could have gotten 2nd if I cleaned up my run a bit
Anyways, heres some pics. Most are repetitive, but oh well

Also met the guy from JLT driving their 2011 5.0, I believe his name was Tucker? Great guy, very down to earth

Well, its only a temporary spoiler delete. My stock spoiler is at the paint shop. I bought a Roush spoiler and they are paint matching the 2 items. Personally, I dont like the stock wing, I feel the longer Roush wing ties of the rear nicely

Oh yes i forgot...
Steeda Ultralites. 1" front, 1.25" rear drop. I love it. I think it looks much more aggressive while still be 100% driveable and nearly identical in ride comfort
I believe it was a full custom, turbo Grabber Blue 2010. I cant say for sure, they only listed the driver names. They did not say what car they were driving

Are you going to be attending drag night? If so Id like to line up against you with my L. I have a '11 5.0 just like yours and would like to see how they would stack up if I could have both on the track at the same time. If you see me there with my sonic blue Lightning come by and say hi my name is Chris obviously. If I see you Ill be sure to say hi too although Im sure Id stand out a bit more than you would in a crowd full of mustangs and would be easier to spot. lol

With temps verging on 100 with high humidity, im not expecting miracles
First ever, period... But I am guilty of tearing up some backroads, so i do have a decent amount of car control. But auto-x is a different animal, very tight, close quarters
