For those trying to get the $750 coupon

Ford has extended the expiration date on these coupons until 3/1/2011! My car came in this morning and while we were finishing up the paperwork, he should me the incentive section that shows the expiration date for this program. My coupon expired on 7/24/2010 and was still able to use it!

So to everybody out there who has a car on order and is worried about them expiring, now you don't have to worry about it!

I would like one of our salesmen to confirm this. I was told that even though the program has been extended, once your coupon has expired, it's expired.

You are correct. The program is going to continue on but YOUR certificate must still be valid at time of delivery.

Thanks.

I was told by Ford Customer Service that you don't actually have to have the coupon to get the rebate. I was told that as long as it's in VINCENT you are good to go. The problem is getting it in VINCENT. The rebate seems to be a mystery. No one seems to know why some get it and others don't.

I think you request one, and it has to come by mail.

I'm wondering what kind of mailing lists you get put on if you were to do this.

I just received my first brochure. I'm not even sure if I'm ordering the right ones.

The one I received gave pre-approved APR rates. I'm not sure how those work, anyways. How can they offer me rates without knowing my credit history? My salesperson ran a credit check and told me I was eligible to get Ford's 4.5% (or 4.9) for 60 months.

Anyways, I ordered two more to see if I could get lucky. Just making sure I'm even ordering the right ones.

Exactly. Once you are in the VINCENT system with the rebate coupon, the expiration date on the coupon doesn't matter anymore. I just used a coupon dated 7/24 on my deal yesterday. No trouble whatsoever.

That isn't accurate. It will only show in our system until the expiration date of the coupon. Your coupon may have had an effective date of 07/24 but if it had an expiration date of 07/24 it would no longer be usable.

If that is the case, how was my salesman capable of pulling everything up through the system and apply it to my deal?. It must be in the system passed the expiration date if they can still see that I received the offer.

Just an fyi but when I went in friday to hand in my x plan pin stuff and have a copy of my mca card made for my deal the salesman I'm working with confirmed with the dealership manager that the coupon does in fact expire on the given expiration date. He went and entered my rebate number in the vincent sytem and again it shows that it expires on the given date of 9/5/10 and I would lose it if I didn't use it by that date.
See the other thread in here which also explains that a dealership gave it to a customer after expiration and now that dealer is not being reimbursed for it.
So that tells me either your deal has some type of extenuating circumstances or your being lied to or my dealership lied to me?

It doesn't stay in the system past the expiration. Is it possible that you were issued another one from Ford that was valid at time of delivery?

Yeah, somebody is being lied too. Problem is that dealers are telling people one thing, Ford CS is telling people something else. One thing is certain, at least in my case, that time will tell if my rebate gets refused.

No, or atleast I never requested a second coupon. I am just going on what I saw on the computer screen and was told by the Fleet Manager at my dealer.

Now, if he call a regional rep and got approval to extend my rebate, I wasn't told about it.
