thinking of removing clutch assist spring.

I am thinking of removing the clutch assist spring in my 2014 mustang gt mainly because I want it to be a heavier clutch feel. I have not had the sticking clutch pedal anytime I drove them car but I also after reading and watching several videos and pictures I have found that all of those photos the springs are grey and mine is redish orange. Does anyone know if they changed the spring tension and maybe this is why you don't hear about to many 2014 with stick clutch or problems? ( or atleast I have not) Any one have some insight? Also just want to confirm that there is no ill effect with taking the spring out? I have attatched a photo of my spring

I have a 2014 and took mine out in the first week. Its a much better clutch feel, and you can feel the engagement point a little better. With the spring in, it was too vague feeling and I couldn't drive the car as smooth as I wanted. I was also used to driving a stage 4 ceramic 6 puck clutch with lightweight flywheel, so I liked the slightly increased pedal effort.

Be careful if you pop off the clip to take off the clutch rod, I lost mine and had to order another one.

EDIT: Here's the clip part number if you lose yours.

Mine popped off as well and I managed to find it under the carpet.

Pro's
Mild (if any) increase in pedal pressure.
Linear feel with no more vague engagement point.
Con's
Small amount of slop at the top of the pedal travel.

IMO a must do mod for the true enthusiast.
