Smile Thank you all! RE: REBATES

Ordered 3/25/10
2011 5.0
Kona Blue
401A
3.73
HID
Security
Comfort
Brembo
Rear Video Camera
ETA 5/21/10

Went to the dealership today to get some info so I can secure financing and to see if I can get some rebates. I read in this forum about the $750 rebate and the $500 customer cash. I order the brochure but it did not come in the mail by the time I went to the dealership. Funny thing is that when I got home it was there. It was the 2011 brochure with the $750 rebate. Anyway I told my salesmen about the brochure and the rebate that came with it and he said he knew nothing about it. I said look in the computer and there it was (-$750). Then I said I read in The Mustang Source.com that there is also a $500 customer rebate for the 2011 mustang. He checked in the computer and there it was (-$500). Total savings $1250. I understand that he might not know about the $750 but the $500. If I did not tell him he was just going to ignore it even as he was starring at it in front of his computer. Thank you guys so much!

Ya, pretty bad when you have to inform the salesman about all the stuff that's easily accessible on the information superhighway. My salesman thought it was so cool to be able to get my window sticker, after I told him how. He went and showed it to the sales manager, who asked him why he had taken it off the car.

Whenever I drop by the dealership , all the salesmen are standing outside smoking cigs, with their guts hanging over their belts.

Your car will come when you least expect it. I was outside putting a new carb on my riding lawn mower. A couple of hours later i see i have 7 messages on my phone from my car salesman. "Your Mustang is in"...."Where are you"? "Its ready to be picked up". LOL!!!

I have been told the following:
"If the coupon has an issue date of on or before the day you purchased the car the dealer can still apply for it and Ford will send you a $750 Check".

Give it a try and let me know if it works out.

$500 Bonus Cash.

On the 48/60/72 month financing the interest is 1% higher if you go with the Promotional APR (Combinable with $500 Bonus Cash) than the Special APR (Not combinable with $500 Bonus Cash). However on 36 months both programs are 0%.

On 5/12 I got $500 Bonus Cash + $750 Private Cash + 36 Months @ 0%. I used the $1250 in rebates as the down payment and went home with a 2011 GT and a Check for $17,500 ($17,000 for my 2007 GT-Deluxe and a $500 Refund of my my Order Deposit)

Is it possible to haggle to invoice price, and THEN bust out the rebates? That way, you would be $1250 below invoice.. wowzers.

Of course. You don't need to "bust out" the rebates, the dealer knows about them and besides they come from Ford so they don't cost the dealer anything.

Since the $500 bonus cash rebate is not on the website, does that mean it isn't available to everyone? I thought that a 'public' rebate had to be available to everyone if it is to be combined with a 'private' rebate such as the $750 coupon rebate.
