Tell Me I Don't Need a 2011...

Elisa, I ask myself this every day when I see the cars I ordered for the forum members here. I will be strong and hold out for my dream 2014 50th Anniversary GT. The 5.0 will still be around, refined several years over, and with a new body style to bring in the anniversary. Plus my car is still doing well and it makes me smile every time I step on the go pedal and hear my longtubes!!
But just in case you want a price, give me a call and we can chat about it.

I have to agree with Jokerstars and say wait at least a couple of years. You have a nice stang right now and looks like you have invested a bit of money in it. I got my new '11 GT because its bad *** for one and two my Lightning was 10 years old.

Now that we have that out of the way, wait. First year models are prone to have issues, I like the "wait for the 50th" comment as that's what I would recommend myself. Just be satisfied with your power level for now (unless you want to commit to this car long term).

You don't! Enjoy that 2010!! Celebrate the 2011 owners and meanwhile proudly be part of a group with the last of the 4.6s.
I saw a black 5.0 coupe last night. Looked great, optioned well - 3.73s, Brembo package, security package, interior upgrade.
I drove away after snapping the photos, knowing that my now broken-in 2010 GT makes great sounds and has a lovely seat-of-the-pants feel for around-town driving. I filled up with 93 (normally run 87) to feel the extra kick - ahhh!
From one 2010 owner to another, cheers!

+1 hahaha. I'm already looking to get a new one.
Seriously though this expense was worth it to me because I just got into the financial position to buy and the stars aligned, I had money saved and no debt. I am starting a new career after college and I'm making **** good money. ( not a gloat I just happened to land a sweet job, a lot of luck involved ).
If you are not in a good position to buy do not do it. It's as simple as that. I never buy new unless there is a **** good reason and there was a **** good reason. The 5.0 + 2010 refined look was too much for me to pass up. I loved this car when I saw it at the auto show so I knew I wouldn't have buyers remorse. I could see if I didn't have most of these reasons I would not have pulled the trigger. Don't go too crazy unless you are ready for it in your life.
But man, if you are as ready for it as I was, you will have a piece of automobile history.

I'd be pissed if I had bought a 2010 in say, December or January. I'd be beside myself. When did the news of the 2011 performance #'s come out in mainstream? Late 2009 or so? Eitherway, I'm glad I stumbled upon this car when I did.
