Sve drifts (tire size help)

Just bought a set of SVE drifts (19*9.5) and wondering about tire sizes. I was thinking 275/40/19 but was told that I needed 275/35s...long story short won't the 35s have a lot of wheel gap. (I'm not lowered) thanks for reading.

The 275/35-19 are 26.6" tall
The 275/40-19 are 27.7" tall

The taller tires will come 14mm closer to the fender and may* be too tall to fit for full suspension travel. Recommendations will always tend towards the slightly smaller to avoid any possibility of rubbing.

The 275/40/19's will be the same height as the stock option 245/45/19's that came on my car. At the stock ride height you will have no issues with clearance as many people on this board run the same set up and are even lowered fairly aggressively without issues. The 35 series IMO will have too much gap and look terrible.

@trumpleton that's exactly what I was thinking. Looks like I need to find a set of 275/40s now

I have those wheels in that size with stock suspension with 275/40 tires. No rubbing or any clearance issues at all.

Getting these same wheels and was going to go with 275 40's, but I have FRPP K Springs. Should I go 35 instead? Will that make the car look even lower? I am already getting tired of the K spring drop as it's settled now and looks too low. Sry for jumping on this thread, but good opportunity to ask...

I'm lowered with Steeda sport springs, there is no rubbing and they look perfect in the wheel well!
Sorry picture is kind of dark!
