Suspension or rear axle housing??


Hello, this is my 14 S197. When I acquired the car it already had a lot of aftermarket suspension. The rear wheels look like they are pushed back/not in the center of the wheel well. The passenager rear wheel is slightly pushed back farther and is grinding on the quarter panel and mud flap. I took it to a shop and they told me it could be the suspension or my biggest fear is that the rear axle housing is bent. Does anyone have an idea on how this could have been caused?

Does it have adjustable rear lower control arms by any chance? If they are adjusted wrong, it could do that.

It looks like a BMR lower control arm with the relocation kit. Also has an adjustable upper control arm which looks like BMR, adjustable pan hard bar.

Maybe an axle tube twisted. Unwelded tubes can do this if launched hard with very sticky tires.

The shop you took it to must not be very good . Your best bet is to adjust the rear lower control arm and see if you get lucky .

to adjust them, they have to be adjustable

I believe that is what happened. It has a 305 tire in the rear which is rubbing on the quarter panel.

The lower control arms are non adjustable,

yeah hard to say for sure from the pics but that looks pretty good to me too
