THIS SUCKS!!!!!!!
So its the last day of my vacation and we get the storm of the century... A branch happens to hit my car, cracking the windshield and denting the back-right of the hood. I am so pissed!!!!! Luckily the crack is at the bottom, below where the VIN is on the windshield, and is where the windshield is sealed so there is no leaking. Also, there are no scratches on the hood, don't know how... Just a nice dent. In Florida insurance pays for new windsields due to hurricanes, so I get a free one of those. May not repair the dent just yet depending on the cost. Also, gonna ask the shop to completely check out the car for other damage on the drivers front side. It was a big branch, don't know what else it could have done. I will post pictures later, its raining outside now. Drove it yesterday and there were no clunks or other noises from the suspension, wheels, etc... So I think I got off with just the hood and windshield. Pretty lucky if you think about it. A mix of good and bad luck...

The crack is here. A few spiderwebs go up past the VIN. The dent is hard to see.
Here is where the branch impacted. There is a small mark on the rubber that covers the bottom of the windshield.
A closer up on the dent. Still hard to see. It is really not too bad of a dent, considering. Thats why I may end up not fixing it yet. The windshield is the important thing.

Yeah the rain makes it hard to show in a picture, but trust me its there. The back lip of the hood is bent down, the branch hit the windshield and also hit the back of the hood. So it is not really a "dent", its more the lip is curved down.

I think I can see it now, it more of a rounded indent, not just a dent.
