Question Sterling Grey vs Tungsten Grey

Just ordered my new Sterling 5.0 vert. I haven't seen the colour in person though so am wondering how it compares to the tungsten grey I had on my 07?

Sterling is a true metallic gray with no hints of color shift.

Tungsten grey almost looks to have a bit of lavender to it, while Sterling grey is a darker grey with no hint of any color.

Sterling reminds me of Dark Shadow Gray if you remember it from any 03 / 04 mustangs

I always thought my wife's TG '08 Escape looked 'purplish'. It was okay sitting by itself, but parked next to my Vapor Silver Fusion the purple really came out. Me no like.

It's darker than Tungsten but less so than Dark Shadow Grey. As a former Tungsten owner, I love the Sterling Grey color!

Yeah that's pretty accurate! As a former/current dark shadow grey owner I love it too, it's beautiful.

I see you are going with silver ingot - that's the other colour I was considering but thought the stone interior would be a better contrast to the sterling grey

Its the best colour maybe i'm a little biased. Go check some pics in the Sterling Gray area.

Unfortunately this is a crappy cellphone pic, but this colour really pops in the sun.

Tungsten has red and yellow in it. Thats what causes the purplish effect in certain lighting.

Love mine too. Better than my '69 Acapulco blue.

Sterling rocks, reminds me most of mineral grey from say the 99-04 body style.

Thanks Mike. Your pictures clearly show the difference. I hadn't realized Sterling was so much darker than Tungsten. I had a rear blackout panel on my Tungsten (honeycomb) I'm not sure if the contrast would show up as much on the Sterling.
