It is my mistake. I assumed Grabber Blue was added as a Boss color when you posted the updated colors for Mustangs.

Hi, Frank. I'm glad to hear you're keeping the Mach 1 and not selling it off. I often think I should have kept my '03 Mach 1. The current owner has wrecked it twice since I sold it to him and he's been driving it around for about 3 months now with body damage from the last wreck. Very sad to see my old Mach 1 nowadays.

Cool news on your upcoming Sonic Blue MCA order! I'll be looking forward to lots of pics of it with the Hooters girls when you take delivery!

Not your mistake at all. The order banks were a moving target over the weekend. Grabber Blue was showing on the color list for Boss 302 when I first created this thread, but then it was pulled off over the weekend when Ford was updating the order banks.

I have recently inquired at several local dealerships about Sterling Gray for a 2012 and no one seems to know anything about it.
Is this for real because I would like to order a 2012 in Sterling Gray if it is.
Any updates on this?

Also have been investigating another option to try and find a 2011 Sterling Gray. They seem to be harder to find than Big Foot!
Found one but it was 1400 miles away.

Yes, its for real. I have confirmed Sterling Gray will be available "late" (whatever that means) for the 2012 Mustangs.

The dealers u inquired were either too lazy to look it up or didnt think u were a serious buyer so they were blowing smoke up ur ***. I had this same problem with the first dealer i visited.

Im 28, have a great job, 841 credit score, and 11Gs (not including trade in) for a DP, but to them, i probably look like an in debt teenager that works at Pep Boys and cant manage his own money. At first they told me the same thing, that they never heard anything about it. Then after i showed them my trade in, told them where i worked and took a long test drive in a black 5.0, they realized how serious i was. Then they magically found the revised color palette for 2012 which included both SG and SB on the same computer they used before... Its all a game.

However, We just couldnt come to a deal on my trade in and were about a grand apart so we left. I will be trying a new dealership on thursday. Im goin to order a 2012 Sterling Gray Mustang GT Premium with brembos, 3.73 and glass roof.

I think the paint code is changing for red candy, at least I remember someone saying that on another post about paint shortages or maybe it is such a great color it deserves two paint codes?!?

U6 is the old Red Candy, while RZ is the reformulated Red Candy.

Is there a visual difference between those Red Candy colours? Also, how can they run out of paint? Does this mean that down the road body shops won't be able to accurately match the colour anymore? Just wondering how this works...

The factory the produced some of the metallic pigment for a bunch of paint was damaged in the Japanese earthquake/tsunami. Mustang colors affected were lava red, Kona blue and red candy.
