I put a Sonic Blue MCA into the order banks and selected white stripes, but it kicked back an error saying that I had to choose black stripes - sorry!

 

Well now I'm a little upset, I always lover sonic blue and I would have done it on my 11 but I'm happy with black. I Always thought the kora was too dark but still a great color and grabber is too bright for me. That sonic is a happy middle

 

What color(s) for the stripes and roof?

Is UJ the same code as the 2011 SG? I'm asking because on another forum someone is confused. They say the 2011 color was called Sterling Grey Clearcoat and this one is called Sterling Grey Metallic.

And yes, I know they are BOTH clearcoat and they are both metallic.

 

Brian, any chance either Sonic or Sterling can be configured/ordered in a CS/GT?

Didn't Ford say back when the '08 Bullitt came out that DHG would never be a regular color, and would be reserved for Bullitts only?

 

That rumor or interpretation was back in 2001 mainly promoted by the then Bullitt owners.

The Ford F-series trucks have shared that color. Why it has not been offered on other Mustang models is beyond me.

 

Really? When did they have that color as an option? I don't think I've ever saw it on something other than a Mustang.

 

There are some, like myself, who don't necessarily like 'pop'. Personally, I think Grabber Blue is way too bright, but that's me.
Sterling Grey with black stripes would be perfect. Reminds me of Eleanor.

 

I saw it on F150s & F250s. Likely years were 2000 and 2001 and possibly other subsequent years.

 

so the Lava Red is NOT replacing the Sterling Grey after all..... happy about that =).

While Dark Highland Green was unique within the Mustang line with the Bullitts, it was also available on F-series trucks nearly 10 years ago (after the '01 Bullitt came out).

 

when I tied to order my 2012 in Nov in SG I was disappointed that the color was discontinued, so I ordered in Lava red in FEB. Took delivery last Monday 5-2, and couldn't be happier. To me it looks like black cherry in sunshine and black when it is dark. I will be a slave to the wash bucket, but the color is awesome. This past Saturday at the Roanoke Valley Mustang Show in Salem VA, many people commented on the color, it was bright and sunny and the redflakes sparkled. I am happy for all those who are getting their Mustang in the color they want, and with the Lava Red I got mine.

 

Thanks , Brian I just put red GT for sale because of the Shell gas bill I go head tell Jeff order Soinc Blue MCA Mustang now, I just put Mach1 in garge until gas price goes down
