Steering noise on '10 V6
Hi all!
I've got a noise in my steering column. I have a 10' V6 mustang with 83000Km.
When i shake the u joint steering column i can ear a metallic noise.
It's the same noise when i shake the left/right Wheel.
When i stop the car and shake the steering Wheel i can ear it too.
Does an adjustement screw on the steering gear exist? do you have any idea about that?
Pics on attachements. In red circle the noise location
Thanks from France.

The rack is non-adjustable. No adjustment screw exists. I would disconnect the steering column from the rack to isolate the noise. Disconnect the steering shaft, and then rotate the steering wheel back and forth and see if the noise still exists. If so then it isn't in the rack, and the noise is in the column. I have seen a few steering shafts go bad as of late. Mostly on Chrysler products and not on Ford's but anything is possible.
