Steeda needs your opinion!
Hey guys. We've been tossing around the idea of doing a trunk mounted pony emblem. It would go on the inside of the trunk. It would require no permanent modifications to the vehicle and be cut out of mirror finish aluminum.
It will be secured to existing holes for the trunk liner already in the vehicle. However in order to clear raised bosses that exist for the satellite radio connections the emblem will be raised off the face of the liner instead of being flush.
Also because of the mounting points chosen it will not sit perfectly centered in the liner.
The first few pictures are drawings of the emblem and attachments.

This last picture is a mockup of the emblem which shows its position, note it is offset slightly from center.

What do you guys think? Let us know!

to be honest, it doesn't look right being off center. different strokes for different folks but I wouldn't spend my $ on something thats going to be closed up in the trunk rarely seen.

I would much more prefer a rear faux gas cap emblem that says "5.0" instead of the "GT" that it has now. I'm sure somebody will love the pony, but I'm pretty much "eh" about it.

Hey Gus, It being off-center bugs me a lot. Plus the shape of the pony looks like the earlier pre-2010 version of the pony, not the sleeker revised pony.

I showed my wife the pic; she made a weird face and said "wow, that thing literally has some junk in the trunk", lol.
Sorry Gus! Market research at an early stage like this is a good thing though.
