Standard Boss 302 wheels on a non Boss?
Has anyone swapped the base Boss 302 19x9.5/19.9 standard boss wheels onto their non Boss 302 Mustang?
Are you happy with them? How much did you pay for the set?
What is the general opinion about these wheels?
I found a guy locally who has a used/slightly scuffed set...and he wants a lot for them but I'm thinking about it.
Any input would be appreciated.

When I was looking at Boss 302s (before eventually purchasing a '14 GT), I remember disliking two things about them...
1. The "reverse C" stripe on the 2012s (love the 2013 hockey stripe).
2. Those black wheels.
That said, they are a distinctive look that did come from the factory. Still, I think there are numerous better looking wheels out there (including other factory options) for less money.

Not sure they'd look good on a non-Boss. They're OK on a Boss, but I'm not a fan of them, mine are stored away with the stock Pirellis. They are hard to come by, so I'm not surprised someone wants a lot for a set.

One ebay it looks like you can get them for around 250-300 a piece, not a huge chunk for something "collectable" I would see if you can get 2 sets or rear wheels rather than the staggered setup so you could run 285's comfortably all around, and I think the rear offset is a little better so you widen your front track a little.

Not my favorite look personally. If they are a steal, then definitely go for it. Otherwise I'd check out some other options. I've grown to love my enkei pf01's that I'm using as one of my track setups. Lightweight and good looking

Currently a Corvette Owner!
As stated, a lot of Boss owners do not like them. I, personally, do like them. They are original, and limited, and they look good on a Boss - I like the black wheel with the dark Boss stripes. On a non-Boss, I think they will look okay, too. Staggered is not so bad, that's what I have, 19x9 255 fronts, 19x10 285 rears. Make sure you have an asymmetrical tire so that you can rotate by simply swapping sides.

A staggared setup is good in general. Square setup really comes in for tracking the car and drivers preference by reducing oversteer or dialing in more oversteer. For the street I like staggared as it is a nice safe setup and gets good traction for acceleration but doesn't make the car tail happy. Looks good too IMO. I like black wheels on some colors, the boss style wheel isn't a personal favorite but they don't look bad by any means.

I love mine. Paid $1100 with barely used tires. I actually miss them right now. I have my stock Brembos wrapped in 245 Blizzaks on.

Thanks guys. I got them because they're as close as I'm going to get to the Minilites they ran on the Bosses of yore without spending a ton of money or finding a set of super rare Saleen Heritage wheels (pictured below). Also, I'm building my car on such a budget that I don't think I've bought a new part for the thing that cost more than $200.00. However, that's probably going to change when BMR's Watts Link comes out.
