Speedway Children's Charities at TMS

I went out to the Texas Motor Speedway in the Mustang today. They were having their Speedway Children's Charities charity laps. For $30 you got to circle the track 3 times, for 10 more dollars you got a photo in victory lane, and for 10 more dollars you got 3 more laps.

On their web site it says something about top speed of 80 mph but I got above 100 several times. There were a lot of people out there (including a Mustang club) but I got in and out in no time. Highly recommended if you live in North Texas!

It's fun ain't it? I didn't make it this time though. There should be another later in the year. Hopefully I can make that one.

I have gone to the one in Charlotte 5 or 6 times, have even been kicked off once for a little too fast, but I did find out the F150 did 130 MPH

Thanks. Also, how many cars are on track with you when you do this? I can & only will do this if not that many.

There were about 10 cars on the track at once. Single file, no passing, but it was still cool to be out there and a lot of fun. Driving on those steeply banked turns is a unique sensation.
