Not a problem Eric. That was my experience with the Corsa exhaust, but I could guess the same would happen with any axle back installed.
I'll throw the idea out to Shaun if we can get a used set of GT500 mufflers and throw them on my car and see what it sounds like. I'd also like to get a camera out and get some video of different exhaust options, since we have access to several choices right now by making a few phone calls.

Still, I agree it'd be interesting. I now think these mufflers are about as good as you're going to get in an axle-back alone. They are definitely loud with ANY kind of acceleration. My gas mileage has taken a hit since I'm now on the throttle a bit more, seeking that exhaust music.
My original post was critical of these mufflers b/c I had expected more low bass/rumble (the kind of sound you'd feel as much as hear) with these, but these SVTs put out plenty of volume that you can hear and have grown on me. I now believe it'll take long tube headers, x-pipe, and hi-flow cats for this 5.0 to really achieve that OHV-style rumble I personally would like to have. That said, I look forward to auditioning more systems in person next summer, where I'll hopefully see more 5.0s at shows.
Maybe that's why these babies (GT500s) are drone-free. Too much bass you can feel probably would contribute too much to undesirable drone.
This is a great mod for the money.

GT-500's with an X-pipe would be pretty quiet for those who are asking

I decided I'd rather take a chance on a less expensive system than live with my stock mufflers some indeterminate period of time. Hope you can hang in there....

For those who have been watching this thread, and possibly considering this mod...I say two thumbs up. I stopped by Rehagen today and met up with Shaun to have the GT 500's put on. First and foremost, you couldn't ask for a nicer guy than Shaun. Had a great time chatting with him, and he clearly knows what he's talking about. Secondly, Rehagen's shop is ridiculous. So many truly bada$$ Mustangs...tons of cool stuff. And last but not least, the mufflers.
These things are awesome. I could not be happier with the sound. Definitely more throaty than stock. All around, it's a deeper, richer tone. Precisely what this car should've sounded like from the factory. Absolutely no drone. These fit my bill perfectly, not only in price, but in sound. I, like many of you, have been back and forth about different systems. I was looking at Roush, Ford Racing Sports/Borla Stingers, Corsa...etc. All those systems just sounded too high pitched and raspy for me. I like a loud exhaust, but that's just not what I wanted for this car. As I said...couldn't be happier!
I snapped a quick video with my iPhone. It was shot in a parking garage, and on a phone...so it's not the best quality, but it's something. Video can be seen here:

Really hope those of you out there considering this exhaust get in touch with Shaun. The mufflers are great and it feels really good to have supported a great vendor to this community!
