Something only a Mustang can do

I don't know what it is. But I commute 100 miles every day in really ugly traffic. I have done this in all kinds of cars. When I get home at the end of a long day I am very tired. (And let's face it, the Mustang is not the world's most comfortable car for long trips.)
YET, here I am sitting at my computer, it's 11pm and all I'm thinking about is how much I just want to go out there and DRIVE. Roll down the windows, hear the exhaust, grab the wheel. That's all I want to do, forever.

These cars are addicting I just wish I could drive it everywhere and the odometer not move. I've put almost 11000 miles on it this year and bought it on Jan 2nd .....well my wife was responsible for about 6500 of those , but I wish it wasn't a DD when I first got it ,it currently is not any more since we bought the new truck but I do find excuses to drive it as much as possible

Isn't the whole point of a grand touring car is for comfortable long trips. At least the coyotes are comfy,

Yea, i was just saying from personal experience but i have no doubt the other GTs would be similar in terms of long term driving.

I also love driving my GT, I make every excuse to get in a drive some more.... I've driven mine from southern oregon to the SF Bay Area and it was one of the most comfortable and exhilarating drives Bought it 6/2 and I have 3500 miles on it so far....

from my 86 LX 5.0 to the 93 LX -- these cars get in your blood, i really mean it. Even with all the little shortcomings everyone wants to bring up --

At 11:45 at night im washing the car and sitting back and staring at her like a school boy with a crush on the prom queen... silly boy

No... we are not alone ... haha!

I have owned a multitude of cars, I have to say this Mustang is my favorite. It blows away the competition on so many levels.. Ford FTW!!!

I have experienced this in the past for sure.

I liked to drive my trans am to enjoy it with the t-tops off. I loved my GTP for the whine of the ported M90. I loved my GTO for the sound of that cammed LS2, and 6-speed.

I always find stuff that I love about my cars. Usually exhaust or another component.

I've always been an enthusiast though. I have a feeling that my Mustang will be the worst though. It's a culmination of everything I loved about certain cars I've had. It's hot looking, it's fast, rwd and manual. It's a convertible. And of course, it'll be souped up.

Bite your tongue. I dunno what you're talkin' about, Awesome is comfy and perfect, and I can drive and drive her all day and night and never ever complain. Seriously.

So, excepting this oddity of your post... Yes. Indeed so.

/I know, it's not a Town Car comfy, but still... love sittin' in mah Mustang drivin' everywhere. With a manual. In traffic. For hours. All good.
//I'm probably an oddity with that.
///Just appreciate what I got, maybe?
////And that from a standpoint of what I didn't use to have before, nothin' more than I am glad I have what I got these days.

I'd have to disagree that only a Mustang can do that... I've had several cars that I enjoyed driving at least as much if not a little more than this.

One of my most comfortable vehicles was a '92 Tahoe 2-dr. Sport 4x4. Those leather seats were like Laz-E-Boys! Not "great" mpg of course, but it was a great highway cruiser. Also my '07 Charger. Out on the open road it's Mercedes heritage came through. That car cruised entirely too well at 90+ on the highway!
With the suspension mods I had on it, it did very well around Mid Ohio, too!

Can't wait until my budget allows for some suspension upgrades on this one, though... REALLY looking forward to getting it set up the way I want.
Gotta sort out the job situation first, though...

I'm comfortable in my 97. More comfortable than my prelude.... but that might be because the 89 prelude was designed for little ppl... my head rubs the roof...

I find mine comfortable on long drives. I think the furthest I've driven it in one day is 800 miles and I've never felt uncomfortable in it.

Okay, I will jump in on the hugging that is going on in here as well. I have the cloth Recaros and they are the MOST comfortable seats I have ever sat in. I have just shy of 1800 miles on my car, 1600 of which I have put on it in the time that I have had it. 3 weeks and counting. It's my DD so I am cruise contolling it as much as possible. I have a short commute and have put gas in it 6 times. I am a certified car nut, says my wife, and this is the first car that I ordered exactly the way I wanted it. Eventually I will change little things here and there but for the most part I enjoy the sound every time I start her up. The way she shakes a little while sitting at a stop light waiting to scream to the speed limit. The first time I really put my foot down I couldn't stop laughing hysterically out loud for about the next 10 minutes. I learned how to drive in a muscle car and this is everything I loved about that old Firebird with all the new stuff that I have grown to love over the last 24 years of driving. I have owned a couple of cars that I was in love with but none compare to this one every time I drive it. The two other favorites were a 1960 VW Bug named Crustfutious and the 2008 Helrot BMW Z4 that I had two cars ago. End of hugs.

I find mine to be extremely comfortable. I had a Lincoln LS before and while the ride isn't as smooth, the seats are far more supportive.
