I noticed those on AB. Weird that Reverse is up and to the left. Usually on American transmissions it is down and to the right even on 6-speeds.

Also, those wheels are painted gray instead of the machined/polished finish of the 2010 version.

So it's not the T56 or T6060 Tremec Transmission.
And its nice that its a REAL 6 speed (5 with 1 OD ... IIRC)

I know some other cars that have the R beside 1 has a reverse lockout... like has to go right of neutral or something else

No..they do that at autoshows.... take the antenna's off.
So no one breaks them or steals them.

Shifters sometimes too.

Actually, if you look at the shifter... the R is not inline...it has a diagnal line...
Probably indicating to get in reverse you have to press down on the shifter to get it over into the reverse lane

That's how it is on the Mazdaspeed3. I'm surprised that method of engaging Reverse isn't more widespread.

lol @ rear headrests. What adult can sit back there?

Weird transmission, wonder what the torque capacity is. The TR6060 on the GT500 is 600 ft/lbs.

Stop thinking about these as a comfort item and think of them as a safety feature instead and you'll be on the right track.

i take it this feature prevents anyone from putting it in reverse at a dead stop, thinking its first gear?

Exactly. I just prefer reverse to be all the way right. Just so there is NO chance to accidentally go back or forwards when you didn't mean to. I'm sure you press down just like every other car with reverse in that location.

Yeah, the reverse lock is a simple push of the **** to get it in gear. I had to learn it with my car right now, after a few minutes I figured it out. Looks good so far!

I was wondering the same thing. Because in my car reverse is down and to the right. You still have to pull up on slider on the shifter to get it there though. I'm curious to see what safety mechanism is on this tranny....

lol @ height adjustable rear head rests. There are a lot more things that need to be fixed before that...

The 2010 GT500 is UP and to the right not down, and in my '68 mustang, reverse was in the same location as the 2011.

Reverse is the same on my '69 3-Speed up to the left... I like the fact that it is a true 6-Speed (5+OD). I am very impressed with what they have done so far...

Some of us have friends, or even kids we like to take along for rides.
Perhaps you should have gotten a Vette......
