So much damage in such slow speed....

Tues morning I rolled into the back end of a pickup truck. The truck backing out without noticing me substained no damage....BUT....here at my photos of the damage to my 2014 V6 base rolling out of gear doing 5 mph........as I await an assessment of damages...no injuries....well at least there was pride...

bumper and hood will have to go; the fender *might* be salvageable.

The only thing i would say about such big damage is because its a crumple zone area so everything built to absorb force. Even if its five miles an hour its alot of weight thats being stopped forcefully. Hood and bumper and more than likely fender are gonna have to get replaced. Oh and headlight. Were you cited for rear endeing the truck?

Also: are you or were you a boyscout?? Greetings from the Eagle club and the OA lol

Greetings as Brotherhood and father of one Eagle and soon to be other Eagle too. I am 30 year veteran of Scouting.

No citation....it was in a parking lot....and he was backing out at the same time i rolled into him. Not a scratch or dent on his 97 Sierra truck....except i knocked some rust loose.....grins....and no airbags either....

I looked under the hood and no signs of damage....but i leave that to the body shop that it is sitting at now currently.

Bummer is that i had ordered some cosmetic things such as new shifter ball, pedals, grill......smiles

Sorry to see that. I was involved in a 5 car incident on I-95 last summer. $14000 repair. Speed was low at impact and no airbags deployed. Good luck with the repair.

Sorry to see this. But the car did what is was designed to do, absorb the impact to prevent serious injury to the people inside the vehicle.

I'm a little confused.
You rolled your car into the truck, meaning you hit the truck, or the truck backed into you???

I content to my insurance company that it is my fault. But their insurance company believe it is their clients fault since he didn't look back before backing up....front corner of my car and back corner of his POS 97 truck.....smiles

Ouch!!!! (( im sorry dude. The day I got my 14' off the showroom floor, that night my girlfriend was pulling her mustang into a spot next to mine and scratched it. I was beyond upset... And that was just a scratch. Maybe I should be thankful.

Make sure to check the gaps on all the body panels. These panels shift allot in even minor fender benders. My friend tapped somebody and even though there was not even paint loss his drivers side fender got pushed up and the hood gap changed.
