So I need some advice.....

I just got back from visiting some family and we stopped in to the local Ford Dealer there.

Anyways, the long and the short of it is I ordered a 2014 GT/CS today. So how do you guys deal with the wait?

Drive a really slow car for a few years to make the new car feel even better.

Whatever you do, don't read the mods section here or buy any mustang magazines.

Haha! One of the best replies ever.

Unfortunately I've been driving an Impala for about a year and a half. I'm ready for a change.

Count yourself lucky, try driving 95 or 100hp celica's for 8 years and then getting a Boss.

You poor thing haha.

Joking aside it's not a bad little car. I just want another Mustang.

And I want my old celica back so I can make a project car. You'll love the new mustang.

I hope so. My ol' man is already harping the old "I give it a day, and you'll have buyers' regret son". I don't, just hasn't sunk in quite yet, I suppose.

Regardless I'm happy with what I ordered.

I actually check this forum several times a day and I won't have my Mustang for about three more months. Check my register date and figure I've been eyeing a GT for a couple months before that. I like staying on top of popular mods so I could make more informed decisions when I finally get the car.

You'll hear from Deysha soon enough. She is the Ford Customer Service Rep and will provide info on the progress of your order.

My dad had the same idea, even got mad that I ended up buying a very impractical car. Now we go to every PDX possible together. I may have a little remorse for getting such a pig, but it goes away every time I get on it.

That's the one thing I forgot to ask is for the "Invoice Number" or whatever it's called. I'll call the dealer tomorrow and ask.

I hear you on that. "This coming from a guy who wants a Porsche" is what I always ask. Then he normally quiets down.

When you smile everytime you drive what else really matters. That's how I look at it.

I doubt I will either. I've just never bought new before so it's a new experience I suppose.

Couldn't of put it better myself. I've owned several Mustangs and I've enjoyed every one. Especially my first Mustang. My first car was a 1968 Mustang. It's the one car I regret getting rid of...

I've lived with impractical cars for the past decade - 2 seaters with no real trunk. The Mustang is very easy to live with by comparison.

I can imagine. I'm sure I'm going to fall in love by the end of the hour long drive back from the dealer I ordered from.
