So I just noticed this about my tachometer..
So I just noticed this about my tachometer..
I have the Mycolor cluster and up until recently I've always kept the gauges red. They are now blue and last night I noticed that when the engine hits redline, the tach changes color to red!
How awesome is that?
Am I the only one that's never noticed that before?

If I recall correctly, they should all turn red when you get into the red zone. Such as being low on fuel, engine running hot, etc.
I always keep my gauges on red, so I don't ever get to see it either.

When you guys are on the throne solving the worlds problems, you should read your owners manual! Lot's of good stuff in there you may still not know about what your Mustang can do.
That's like getting directions when trying to find the place you want to go, no challenge in doing that...

I'm not sure if it will be active if not recording laps though, have not tried it outside of a track environment, as I don't really wail on the car (or care about getting right up to redline) for nearly all my street driving.
I wish with myColor (even though i dont have it) all the illuminated buttons and what not would change colors as well. Its kind of weird looking havin a blue or green cluster but everything else is still a light blue.
Yeah, it also happens at 147 for stock cars. Along with the tach going red, there is a little hash mark about half way between the size of a 5mph and 10mph hash that lights up on the speedometer under the needle at 147.
when i hit red line just my tach goes red and when i have low fuel only my fuel gauge goes red and all the needles go really bright. they must have changed it up for different options or something.
I guess I should clarify. I meant each individual gauge will turn red, as you stated. I just mean that all of the gauges will do it, if they get into their own red zone.
Oh that's really cool! So, if the engine is hot, that gauge goes red... if gas is low, that one goes red?
