SO am I the only one....
SO am I the only one....
Who wakes up at night and thinks, "Hey, I could go for a drive in the new stang!" I also spend time at work thinking, I could just hand off class and go for a drive. On the way home, I look for a longer trip to take. Hell I even call my wife and say, are there any errands you need for me to run on the way home, because I know this will involve going somewhere. I just like driving this thing.
So is it just me???

I do the same thing when driving mine and mine is an old 95 gt. I have had it for 2 years and still love driving it. After I get out of school I would like to own an new one, but till then I am happy with what I have.
I've had if for a month and i still dream about it everynight. It hailed here today during a storm only for a minute or two but i ran in a mad panic to pull the car into the garage, only to realize that it was already there. I literally ran like i was saving a family member or something lol.
But ya, every chance i get, any excuse i can make, im driving.

When I get home i usually don't put it in the garage so at about say.... 8pm i go out to put the car in the garage but always end up backing it out of the driveway and going for a drive for a half an hour. I dunno why but that car is always forcing my hand to go into reverse to get into the street, then 1st gear, and then tells me to drive and not stop.... so i must obey
Am I the only one who doesn't want to drive the new Mustang?
I bought mine on July 20th and it had 39 miles on it when they delivered it to my house. It now has 237 on it and I don't foresee driving it anytime soon.

as you can see, you are not the only one, and this affliction is not exclusive to the 2011 5.0 . . .
I need to find some good roads with decent visibility where I can have some fun on those drives, around here the roads are so windy with so many blind corners that the car can easily handle the road at speeds that are way beyond sane

Wow, near as this little unscientific poll shows, YES you are the only one. Do you mind sharing why you DON'T WANT TO DRIVE TH NEW MUSTANG? Of course your car, your choice. Be a shame if you bought a car that you just don't enjoy. Especially one that so many people seem to get such joy out of.

i drove my 911 daily, even in winter, here in michigan. i slapped some winter tires on it and it was good to go. i see myself doing the same with my new 2011 GT. i figure, why spend the money and not drive?
Nosir, you are definitely not alone. Although there are a few... um... interesting individuals who don't, as testified above.
I think about drivin' Awesome, and Ride, all the time... mainly because they're Awesome and Ride, and also they'd be going *anywhere but here*, which is always good.
/love my vehicles.
//Ride = 1995 Honda Pacific Coast PC800 motorcycle. I don't get to get her out nearly enough.

I rarely drive my "toys." I had a 2002 Camaro Z28 that was quick for the mods it had(11.02), and only put 4500 miles on it after owning it 2.5 years.
csledd is partially right about me being worried something would happen to it. If I walked out to my car and noticed someone had opened their door onto the car and messed it up, I'd probably start crying right there in the parking lot. And to keep the miles low. I traded in my 2008 F150 "daily driver" for this Mustang and it only had 12,800 miles on it in a little over 2 years. Now I am using my mother's 2000 Explorer has a daily driver because she no longer uses it. (2000 with only 42k miles on it.hah)
But also, part of me doesn't care about it. Sure it is a very nice car and Ford really stepped up, but I don't need it.. Hah. Luckily I paid cash for it. If I was paying notes on it, obviously I'd want to drive it more and not have a garage queen.

i remember going for drives for hours after finals/midterms when i had mine or when i just couldn't sleep, i'd take her out for a stroll and just cruise.
it would remind me of the remake of gone in 60 seconds when nicholas cage explains why he boosted cars, that's how passionate i felt about it.
