I was just browsing online earlier and came across this kit. I've been saving for a procharger, but this snow performance booster cooler seems pretty legit. My car is naturally aspirated with a cold air intake and borla exhaust. Do you think it would be worth the $300 and does anyone have experience with this kit? thanks

K. On an n/a car methanol will give you higher octane so you could have a custom tune with some aggressive timing advance. Might give you 5 extra horsepower. If you sprayed nitrous a meth kit will allow for bigger shots. I spray 150 on a stock 4.6 with bolt ons. On a boosted motor it cools the air alot and timing can be advanced. When you spray Methanol it gives the incoming a/f mix about 120 octane,and cools it dramatically lowers the combustion chambers temp too. It is completely a waste of money tho if you aren't boosted or blown. All it does really for an n/a motor is ups the octane so you could advance the timing more. I have sprayed just meth to see if it did anything that I could feel and I didn't notice any gains whatsoever. In fact it kinda chugged when you first floored it. I think cause it was too rich,and it really didn't pull any better than just fuel. But methanol when combined with a power adder really makes cost effective hp.

This is their home page, I watched the info video with the camaro in it to learn more about the kit. Just wasn't too sure about it.

 

Ya dude I just googled that kit and all it is doing is spraying meth and nitro methane. You would have to get a dyno tune to really get the most from that mod. You would have to adjust fuel maps,shutting off all rear o2 sensors otherwise cause they will try to compensate by adjusting a/f mix. Honestly nitro-methane is gonna cook you cylinder rings and foul oil very quickly. And all you need to have for fluid is windshield washer rated for -40c cause of it's alcohol content. Honestly dude if you buy this thing do a write up for us here in the forum. And be totally honest on how you like it. I already have an A.I.S. Kit so I if I can I will just add nitro-methane to the mix
