Sleepless nights..READ!!!

Well I'm laying down in my bed not sleeping for many reasons. First, ordered my car December 21st and have nothing but an order confirmation. I'm very impatient and dont feel like waiting but WHATEVER. If a car was on the lot and if it was a 5.0 with brembos in pink I would take it.
Next , all I can think about is what modifications to do to the car .What tune , what headers , intake, exhaust , shifter , wheels , tires, lowering springs, sway bars , shoot me in the face the list doesn't stop. Moving on, I'm ready to invent my own exhaust system for this car. Not one system that I have heard yet has done it for me. I've only heard one 5.0 in real life so far with an aftermarket system. It had American racing long tubes , off road x , And magnaflow competition catback . Sounds fine and dandy right??? WRONG! Sounded like an absolute rasp fest, nothing but loud raspyness that made my ears bleed and my skull crack. I'm thinking dynatech longtubes off road h and magnaflow competition should be the trick.
This is a long *** rant not gonna lie. If I clicked this thread I'd just scroll to see how much some guy was *****ing and I'd be like close! It's approx. 1am I don't even expect any replies but GOD!!! I want my **** car! I want my friggen parts.I want all this indecision to stop! And i want a goodnights sleep!!!

While I cannot agree on the pink, or the Brembos ($400 per tire to replace, compared to $130 for the 18" tires), I think I am going to become a mad rambling lunatic before I get my 2012 GT. No vin, no DORA, no updates, and only waiting. I want Lava Red and a 2012, but this waiting is killing me.: spank: At least I can waste time here looking at the smiles. This is my first new car and I want it to be just what I want, but I am going nuts.

Wow thank you for telling me because I thought it was mainly from headers and midpipe. The bassani systems look really nice but seem uber quiet in videos. Look what you've done to me again .indecision indecision lol.

I domt exactly know the feeling but a buddybkept calling me every hour or so to talk about the car and i didnt wanna be a douche so i feigned interest for awhile :P
But try looking up the Borlancat-backs on theirnwebsite. They still have the stinger s-types which in my opinion are THE best sounding catback exhaust for the mustangs.

Remember, guys. You pre-ordered your car. You got into this knowing there was going to be a wait. All you have to do is roll back the forum to last year, and read; it's the same every year.

This year we have an added bonus of a few part issues putting down the plant right at changeover.

If it helps, go out and actually buy your mods -- I have. I already have over $1000 worth of car parts ready to go, and I just ordered yesterday. I'm sure there'll be 10-12 weeks of dust I'll have to wipe off by the time the car gets here...

Love my Roush exhaust - rumbles at idle, throaty if pushed, quiet when cruising great all round system and the 4" tail pipes look nice from back and sides.

i gotta wonder if once you get the car you well ever get a good night sleep as you will be driving or trinkering with it or just sitting out there looking and maybe just maybe talking to it !! lol I do know once you have it all the wait will seem worth it and you will be nothing but smiles

And by all means order your parts now as i am finding a few of the good parts are on back order so by the time the car gets home all the parts should be there

Same here - the Roush rocks! No drone, and sweet music when you start it up or get on it. Not obnoxiously loud, but people can tell a muscle-car is coming/going.

All I will say is that the wait is awful but once you get the car you'll forget all about that wait.

I feel your pain... I ordered mine on February 10th and didn't receive it until July 1st

I'd suggest the Stainless Works exhaust. I got mine from a local business called SpeedTech Exhausts. Cant go wrong with the JLT intake with a SCT tune!

and for an exhaust specific video

I ordered my mods also long before the car came. It helps making the wait seem not so long.

I've already started ordering parts for mine too. I'll be lucky to get the car in March I hope but the longer I have to wait, the more money I can put towards parts... so in reality, a long wait isn't that bad because I may have just about all the initial parts I want to put on the car waiting in the garage if it takes that long.

Hawaii 5.0- I watched the vid on borlas website. They sounds really good! But borlas prices are just insane

oac sparky- I know what I signed up for just didnt expect to be THIS impatient lol. I want to order all my mods before car gets here to keep myself busy. But not being set n stone on anything makes it hard.

mustang gtpilot- The roush sounds really good for an axle back but im looking for a full system. If i was going axle back only i think Roush would be my choice.

rodmoe- Your 100% right. I am gonna sit in it ,stare at it, take pictures of it ,an sleep in it everyday lol.

Lancel-Im sure your right.

Intervention- I must have watched both of your videos 15 times each lol. I love the sound it makes going thru the tunnels. I am strongly considering this entire combo. How did the seat of the pants feeling in the car change once u added the full exhaust?

fastredpny- Im trying to calm myself down by thinking the same way. No payments, more parts. I just dont know how all u you guys are deciding so easy when they'res so much available and so much coming still!

well I also like to think that any quirks may be worked out as well. the bolts on the flywheel issue, engine tick/knocking sound, griding shifts, etc.. maybe there will be answers in a few months, maybe there won't.

I have a lot of time to do a lot of research but yeah... at the end of the day, I'm still getting into a 12 year old volvo instead of a shiny new 5.0 and it stings a little but ultimatley, knowing that I can have parts avaialble in the garage when I bring it home to make it how I really want it right off the bat instead of getting the car now to drive and sloooowly save up for those same parts is going to make it worth the wait.

I mean, paying for a $35K car can seriously dent the "fun money" each month.

I’m right there with you. The only info I can get out of my dealer is that I have a “clean order” that hasn’t been accepted yet. The wait would be much easier if I just had some kind of updated info.

I feel you. I put a deposit down 12/23 not sure when it was actually ordered. My dealer hasnt even provided the order confirmation. They have just said it was ordered. Im having a hard time deciding on what intake and tune.
