I loved my '08 Shelby GT. Still the biggest mistake I made in selling a car.

Identical to Lee's blue/silver. The similarities between our two Shelbys are rather uncanny, considering both our GT500's are black/red. Though he had to go uptown and put silver pinstriping on his.

I'm not exactly sure what it says that both of them were nearly identical to Lee's. I'm not sure I'm comfortable with the possibilities.

Doesn't sound all that impressive, the base price just seems to be cosmetic.

This is the '13 GT350................just without the 350 bit

Oh, and the quality of the grille is shocking! Look how crooked it is near the pony badge!

nice content and written well for a change. It's nice to see that some people still understand how to write a quality post.

That seems to be an optical illusion, at least I think it is.

Not worth the price if admission but maybe it's just me.

Wheels are hideous and why does it have a spoiler? For the price I'd never consider one.

THIS.

I mean starting at $27,995 for the supercharged package? You buy a base GT and add this package you're at GT500 money...but you have less horsepower. Besides being different/collectable what's the point?

It's just that, they know someone will pay the price for it, just like the guys who have Bosses and are convinced they are god's gift to Ford, rant over.

Shelby should be ashamed at even offering something so preposterous to the Mustang community.

It'll be super rare in 20 years because they won't sell many of them. But a 2014 Nissan Sentra will be rare in 20 years as well, and worth about $1500.

All kidding aside, I have to agree with you. No matter what all of the posters on the intarwebs say, that was one of my favorite cars. I loved that thing and I regret getting rid of it. Only reason I let it go was because I didn't have room for it. If I had it to do over I would have built another garage and kept it.

That car was fantastic, I don't care what any critics say. I got more looks and more compliments on that car than I have on the 500. And to tell you the truth, that car inspired more confidence on the road than the 500 does. I wanted more power, but when you stuffed it into a turn something about it felt reassuring that it was going to do what you wanted.

Don't get me wrong, the 500 will take a corner much faster than the SGT would, but if I'm honest, I don't feel as confident going into the turn that it will, its only after exiting it that I breathe a sigh of relief when I cook it in really hot. The 500 has actually scared me a few times, hoping it would stick (of course I was no where near its limit) but I felt anxious.

I never once felt that in the SGT, and its grip was nowhere near what the 500 has in the same turns.
