Shelby American, Inc.
I just returned from a trip to Las Vegas and while there I visited Shelby American, Inc. I'm sure many of you are familiar with Shelby's vehicle assembly facility. For those of you who are not, this is an amazing place and they offer a FREE guided tour Mon - Fri at 10:30 AM. As soon as I pulled into the parking lot I was treated to a view I could not believe. There were Shelby Mustangs all over the place; some of which I never heard of. Once inside I found a collection of Shelby vehicle including Carroll Shelby's very first Shelby worth..........................$27+ million ! During the tour (conducted by one of the Shelby assembly employees) we were given the background on each vehicle in the museum, including Shelby's brief stint with Chrysler. Then we went into the assembly room to see custom orders Shelby Mustangs being hand assembled. My heart was about to beat itself right out of my chest!
I learned a lot about Shelby. I did not know that you can take your 2011 - 2012 model Mustang to Shelby and have it converted into a Shelby GTS. Prices start around $9,995 for a V-6 GTS. They even offer a super charger for the 3.7 that kicks out 475 HP! Of course you can spend all the money you want. The tour guide told us they have built several 850+ hp Shelbys (manufacturers power-train warranties are immediately voided). I saw the very first Super Snake and a pair of almost identical 2012 GT-350 Mustangs ordered by a gentleman for his two sons. They were white with blue stripes and were signed by Carroll Shelby on the roof above the drivers door.
I highly recommend a visit to the Shelby American facility in Las Vegas. It's super easy to find just 10 minutes north of Vegas off route 15. Take the Las Vegas Speedway exit. When you reach the stop sign look right, it's right there. And when you see the place, if you're not drooling all over the parking lot you must be dead!

SD CALSPCL, I checked the link and it seems good. Please try again. If you can't open it then search SHELBY AMERICAN, INC. That should bring you to the right site.
The Shelby vehicles are some of the most exciting cars I have ever seen. But like many folks, they are only a pipe dream for me. I don't have the money, times or facilities to purchase and properly maintain a car like that. But I can always dream.

OP needs to read the book "Go Like Hell". Would probably really enjoy it.

I do like them, but if anyone went overboard it was Saleen with the body kits, spoilers, etc. Holy crap, how much stuff can you tack on a car, especially the ones with a stock drivetrain?

I bought exactly what I wanted. If I had wanted a Boss LS, I would have bought one. If I had wanted a Saleen I would have bought one. If I had wanted a Steeda I would have bought one. I bought what I wanted and this is it. Love it or leave it, its what I wanted in my garage.

That's why I love this commercial so much..

Just a v6 but they focus on the customization of the car, and how you can make it your own. Not to mention the killer tune in the background.
Went there while in Vegas for Barrett-Jackson last year, it was very interesting to see/hear the history on the cars in the museum and to see the actual place where
the cars are done. I did expect it to be larger than it is tho....
