I love the paint color and pretty much everything about it...I agree the rear is a little weak, but what's under the hood makes up for it. One thing that really bothers me about these high dollar mustangs is that the door panels are still mostly cheap plastic. Wrap that in leather if I'm gonna pay that much for a mustang!

I think the GT500 deserves an interior upgrade for its price... a GT1000 is in dire need of one.

I had a SAPD officer looking at and sitting in my Shelby yesterday, and he said it was the nicest interior for a sports car he'd sat in. He may not write articles for motor trend, but he's sat in his share of sports cars, especially in the impound lot. He liked the Recaros better than anything else he'd been in, he liked the alcantara on the steering wheel, the lack of reflective material on the driver's console, etc.
No, it doesn't have the interior of a BMW or a Benz, but it's not a BMW or a Benz. It's a Mustang. Its luxury is under the hood. Compared to what's under the hoods of BMW's and Benz's, the Shelby IS luxury. Hell, it's a six-figure engine in a five-figure car.
I like the wide body idea, and wouldn't mind having it on my Shelby. I think the wider rear looks much more aggressive. I am not, however, going to pay $20k+ to have it done. It's not worth that much.

Sure, but it has the powertrain of a $400,000 car. I wouldn't pay $200k for any automobile, but if I did it would be because of what's under the hood, not what's on the door panels.

I think it's a matter of what the driver is used to. I may very well have a different opinion if I had owned a BMW or a Benz prior. Instead, I went to a Shelby from a Wrangler Rubicon. To me, the doors in the Shelby ARE luxurious! Heheh. The "nicest" car I've owned is an '08 Shelby GT, so like I said...experience has a lot to do with what a person is happy with.
