Rust and Clear coat question
Rust and Clear coat question
I live in a Quebec which has a harsh climate, my car already got hailed on but luckily they fixed it nicely. Today i realized a small spot that the clear coat peeled, is there a easy fix to this? Like cleaning the spot and spray clear on top? Or go to a shop and pay to fix it?
Also theres rust on the seat bracket. Again is there a easy fix to this so the rust doesn't get worse? What product should I use to get it taken care off!?
All the inputs would be appreciated.

Did you or a dealership put some invisible clear 'paint protector' on your Mustang? Did you buy your Mustang 'new'? I've never seen or read about 'clear coat' peeling like yours is
Northern climates using salt that gets on ones shoes cause this. Salt is one of many things I don't miss living in upstate NY. This problem was present on all my cars dating back to the mid 60's.
Yea I didn't have this problem on my 07 Mustang back in Vancouver, I hope I can get out of this place within 4-5 years.
I bought the car new from Vancouver and shipped it to Toronto and picked her up there. The paint should have the factory clear on it, I'm sure it's because of the rocks on the road, there are construction everywhere, sucks. Im gonna get the underbody rust treatment before winter.

Update: I checked with my dealer and they said the paint is under warranty so they’ll repaint the fender to fix the clear coat.
