Running cables in a convertible

I am looking to install a backup camera in my wife's 2014 convertible, just having an issue in figuring out how to get the cables from the Trunk to the front dash, with the convertible compartment in the way. It looks like I might just be able to run the wire just below it, but just wanted to be sure that it will not interfere with the convertible top retracting.

Any help, pictures of video links on how to best do it would be appreciated.

That leaves them exposed to the elements. Not a good thing on some of our gravel roads.

I think I might have figured it out, I removed all of the trunk linings and the rear seat and can now follow the main harness under the convertible top storage compartment, there appears to be a channel in the foam lining. I will doing the work tomorrow, so I will take a couple of pictures and post them on here for anyone that needs it in the future.

That was easy

That was a lot easier than I thought! Remove the bottom rear seat, remove all carpeting in the trunk and you have a 1”x 12” opening to run any wires you want through it!
