RTR License panel fitment issue/concern

I just got my RTR license plate panel from American Muscle and I'm not happy with the fit. Maybe its just me or the way they are made, but the L and R lower corners sit flush with the bumper where as I thought the panel was suppose to be recessed.
Once I get more time I plan on removing and checking fitment, but from what I can tell the cut outs were large enough and the tabs are inserted all of the way.
For those that have installed one, how was your fitment in the lower corners?

Hey Blown -

Thanks for taking the time to have this posted up - I'm sorry to see and hear that you're not too happy with the fit on the RTR Panel and I'm sure the guys over at RTR wouldn't stand for this at all!

I'm happy to get a replacement order set up for you if you would like and I can have it shipped out today for you. If you want me to have this set up just shoot me a PM with your order info and I'll do the rest!

Alex

Thanks for the response Alex. My first step is to make sure the issue is not on my end, plus I was hoping someone that has installed one would chime in and say how theirs fit in that area.
I will remove it after work and take a look to make sure my cutout/openings are big enough and try to narrow it down before I send it in for a replacement.

Blown - Anytime - Let me know what you find out and if for some reason that it's molded incorrectly shoot me a PM with your order number and just verify your email and physical shipping address for me and I'll do the rest!

I'm gonna look at it as soon as things calm down at work. Haven't been motivated after two 13 hour days.

It looks like from another thread that you got it to fit. Or am I wrong?
What needed to be done?

I am curious what the issue was myself, have been considering this mod for my own car? Heck, I already hacked up my bumper cover for GT500 quads/valance.

Two issues and one was my fault. Both the lower edges of the panel had some flash on them plus the lower tabs kept popping out.

So everything is nice and tight? What recommendations do you have for someone installing these?
