Road trip!
I left Denver on Sunday morning and arrived in Sacramento last night - two long, solid days of driving on I-80. For anyone wondering about the Recaros...well...they are simply the most comfortable seats that I have ever had in a car. I feel like I could have hopped back in the car this morning and driven back to Denver with no soreness/stiffness at all. True story.
I averaged 21.9 mpg, with cruise control set and 3:73 gears the car hummed along at 2200 rpm. I'm sure my mileage could have been better but I had to stomp on the gas many, many times!
GT-500 mufflers make for a throaty roar when down-shifting but no drone, perfect for my taste. You hear them when you want to.
I love how everyone can't get out of my way fast enough when they see me coming up in the rear view mirror! I think the Roush grill/fogs might have something to do with that - very pleased with the look. I haven't seen it in person on any other 'stang yet.
Just ordered the blacked-out 5.0 badging from American Muscle...I think they will compliment the grill and Sterling Grey very nicely....
Trip was a blast! Posting pic...

It's a great-looking Stang. I have the black billet grilles and the Roush foglamps (and chin spoiler) so mine looks fairly similar... just in Grabber Blue. I like the Roush grilles, though!

Looks great G8toGT! I'm really diggin' the Roush fog lights, too. I think we should bring them onto our AM site.
Any other mods planned for the near future? The black 5.0 emblems will certainly be a nice touch..

Looks great Joey. I'm thinking about the matte black badges too. How was the install and removal of the old ones? I am a bit worried about removal....... And as for placement, how do you know where to place them perfectly?

There are mounting holes behind your badge, I assume the aftermarket ones would utilize these holes also.

You are correct it's double sided tape. The stock 5.0 badge is held on with double sides tape and pins. Matte black badge is just tape. As to removal zto5 I sent you the pm on that. For placement what I did was I surrounded the old badge with masking tape before I removed it. Therefore when I removed it there was a rectangle outlining the exact position of the old badge. So I stuck I stuck the new badge in that outline. Hope that makes sense haha
