Rims: 19's Vs 20's

What do you guys think is better on a these 5.0's? 19's or 20's?


I'm really liking some 20's, but I hear not the best "Performance" wise.

Im a 20" type of guy, but it all depends on your needs. Are you going to track? Are the roads trashed where you drive most? Are you careful around curbs? Do you want a soft ride or one that is on the harsher side?

Look wise 20's are the way to go, but you sacrifice a bit of traction and ride quality. Also a bit more weight added with 20's. But I wouldnt change my 20's.

Have 20s, wish I had 19s. No real tire selection choices in 19s when I got mine a few years back.

20s just too harsh ride, I have 18" track tires, and even though it's a stiffer tire, still better overall ride.

20s look great, though.

I am going the other way. When by Brembo Pirelli's wear out in 7k or so I am going to get the 18in 07-09 GT500 wheels. I think 19s are too big for a muscle car. I want a little more sidewall.

OP, at least you are not going with 26in wheels. I **** you not, there is a new Camaro at my apt that has 26in wheels. Tires are 275/25/26, lol. Looks rodonkulous.

I agree about the 19's. I wish I had 18's.

Put big 20" tires on and the car rides great of course if you have buck board springs putting tall mushy 18"s on might be a better bet. Big 20"s do work better with a high rear gear. There are loads of 20"s out there that weigh less than stock 18" they cost more so lots of budget restrained guys tell you the virtues of 18" when the fact is they can't afford 20". So you have to look what is right for you 18"s or 20"s it just money.

19's look good, 20 look even better with the right style wheels. 18's make the 2010+ cars look like a skate board.

The cars that are lowered look better with 19's or 20's so long as they are lowered. The factory rim/tire combos don't look great lowered IMO.

19's look too factory to me. If i'm modding a car's appearance, I want it to stand out. 19's dont do that for me.

If I'm all about performance, then I'd be upgrading the tires and leaving the wheels alone.

That's just me.

personally i disagree... lowered on the factory 19" Brembo wheels looks greatt.
