As soon as prices are released, I'm ordering a GT Premium w/Brembo package and the dealer is going to install the CS bits I want since it can't be ordered that way... It would be nice to be able to for sure.

Meant no disrespect. I just saw that you had a 2012 and were getting a loaded 2013. And then I saw your screen name and it struck me as funny.

Never had mine mistaken for a V6 I don't think. But an Infiniti G35 did try to mess with me once...

I didn't take it as being disrespectful. Yea I'm glad to be getting a 2013 but I really just wished that the 2012 would of just came in undamaged. I've been working on getting this handled since last June. It will probaly be close to a years time by the time the 13 arrives.

Just read where the price for the tail lights is $950.00 per side. Then the rear cover and wiring.......for a change that will not provide one bit of value for most resales/insurance issues....wow. Sounds more like it would be better to take a trade in loss to get the lights...... Wonder how many will REALLY spring for the lights. Also, I really don't see much in aftermarket styles coming out for a low market desire. Most after market suppliers tend to change the lights entirely, not just duplicate an already produces unit.

Just thoughts on a bored evening......lol

Thanks for the comments on getting the pics and video.

I loved the front end of the Shelby before; almost enough to put it on my '12, but didn't want to have a "fake Shelby", so when I heard the '13s would look like the Shelby, I figured I'd consider updating the body, as it would still be Mustang GT sheet metal/bumper covers.

Now that I see it though, the front end really looks blunted to me. I love the new tails when lit, but the new rear cover looks way too tall without the dark lower portion wrapping around and being lower, and there's not a good enough body line to do dark lower paint to match the '10-'12 style body line. I think the car looks too thick/tall top to bottom. My wife hates the new front and rear-ends (tail-lights aside). I'm very happy with my '12, despite liking the new tails, and won't be updating mine.

Rick- some "kid" at a machine shop supply store asked me if it was one of those new V6's. I laughed and his buddy slapped him and said "told you so."

I like the shelby front end but thats what set it apart visually other than the big ol wing out back. Now all the models get that front as well? Hmm idk bout that. L like how sharp the front ends look on the 10-12 cars. Look kind of like a shark, hunting down its prey. Now, its kind of like a whale /:
I think the new tailiights on the 10-12 body style would be perfect. Oh and the rim choices as well

I agree the front end of the 10-12 looks better. It seems most of the pictures of the 13 front end capture it from an angle higher then the car and it just doesn't look quite right.. There was a pic of the 12 boss and the 13 boss side by side shown from the front and I liked how the 13 looked in that pic. First thing I will do on my 13 gt/cs will be to peel off the factory hood stripes and install a stripe down the middle of the hood like on the new boss. I will also install a black "5.0" badge and change those wheels... Am I the only one that thinks the wheels on the 13 (gt/cs especially) are hideous??

I'm not worried about what a kid thinks. I'm more concerned about what Porsche GT3, Nissan GT-R, Ferrari F430, and Corvette Z06 owners think.

[QUOTE=FromZto5;6214708]Just my 2 cents, the lack of a 5.0 emblem increases the possibility that it can be mistaken for a V6. I can't have that But true to your statement... if sleeper is what you're going for, what better way than for folks to think you don't have a beast under there.

Hey what's wrong with the V6!!!??? For a shade over 23k for one with the PP you can surprise A LOT of people at a stop light!!!! Afterall, no matter what you drive someone out there has something that can whip yuh!!
