Rear Window Louvers
Rear Window Louvers
I searched and most of the threads on these were a couple of years old, I am wanting to put these on my 2011, has anyone bought them new within the last year, MRT or from American Muscle etc? Rousch has pulled their's off of the web site...any thoughts would be sweet!

Or Cervini's
Put this aluminum rear window louvers on my son's 07 Mustang GT.
Keeps the interior much cooler and well help to eliminate seat and carpet fading.
Ran RWL on my '76 Mach1 and my brother '83 Dodge Shelby Charger.

SilverHorse Racing has the MRT brand louvers, which are hinged. The ones from American Muscle are not hinged, they are apparently glued on permanently. I think this would make it very difficult to wash and dry the louvers and rear glass.
I have the MRT's and they are hinged. I bought them when I was in Houston to try to keep interior temps somewhere below 180.....they dropped them to 160.
Some days I like them, some days I don't, but they're on and they're staying.

My one and only experience with rear window louvers is limited to a 1982 GT I had. The louvers were a factory option. The look was great, the partial view obstruction was acceptable, the rattles were not.
The best one to me, if I were to do it, is silver horse racing's flush louvers. But it's a lot more work than just taping something on, it replaces the whole window... But if done correctly, it can look good. But to each their own!

Love the SHR side louvers, and personally, wouldn't go any other way. The rear louvers, however, can stay at the factory. If I was getting a set though, I'd make sure they're hinged and can come up for easy access.
Hey, it could be a lot worse. The kid could be driving around a four-cylinder Hyundai with exhaust pipes that would be oversized on a Greyhound bus.
