appears like it was well done but the mismatching carpet & logo takes away from the look. Agree with your sentiments on friends wanting rides, it would be worth it for that reason alone. The weight savings seem negligible. Are you going to add subs or nitrous back there? Looks like the perfect spot for a few flat piston 10" subs.

Mismatching of the carpet and logo???

Its all just black like the back seats were. The pic is probably throwing it off.

Or maybe you mean something else ( let me know it can always be changed)

I think he means the "5.0" font doesn't match what it actually looks like on the fender.

I'm not a fan of rear seat delete, looks about as good as any kit out there.

I promise you it is way more quality than those flimsy kits out there.

I'm sure it is but still just looks like a delete kit, strange with no seat and a big empty area back there.

Well that is exactly what it is rear seat delete It looks better when the seats are back in position. The step up is so i can still tilt the seats back and it is pretty much level with my arm . You can see how high it goes right where the rear seat arm rest is. This way its not so far down and not so high so its not awkward (in my eyes) I will get better pics so maybe I can change some minds about this kit as it seems to be a worse mod than the stick on hood scoop LOL

Gentlemen

I am installing a 4 point rollcage w/diaginol bar in the rear seat area of my 5.0. I plan to install a modified rear seat delete kit to clean it up.

There are reasons to install a kit like this.

it's actually closer to 40 lbs, around 10 lbs for the bottom seat cushion, and 30 lbs or so for the rear seat back.

No way ... I just had mine out 2 weeks ago when I swapped interiors ... I may have been exagerating at 10 lbs ... probably more like 20 lbs. Pretty sure the bottom seat would blow in the wind if left outside ... it's just a thin plastic form with the foam backed vinyl on it ...

It looks very nice.

Looks like it was professionally done.

Best thing about these cars is how everyone makes them there own.

I think he is referring to the bad pic. The pic looks as if everything else is tan colored, not black. I mean, look at the seat belts in the pics, they look like a totally different color.

More pics please, I like the set up.

He used black carpet but the interior is more of a charcoal.

Looks cool.
I like the 5.0 added.

Now my questions:
1. How much did it cost, you said above you didn't do it yourself.

2. If this isn't your DD... then why would friends be asking for rides home if your only driving it to car events/cruises or weekend cruising...

3. The back seats folding down is a great thing about our mustangs. Not for large items, but for those days you happen to need that extra space. Does your set up allow you to fold down that back side?
