rear end clanking noise
rear end clanking noise
Hi everyone,
I just got a 2011 mustang gt a couple of months ago and I love it! Long story short, it was hit in the rear end while parked over night. Needed a new quaterpanel, rear end suspension, new axle( it was used by the way, tech told me it was better then to mess with new gears) and a whole bunch of other items that added up to 8900 bucks. Now my car makes a squeaking noise which is heard from the outside coming from the rear. It also has what I thought was 2 glass bottles clanking into each other in the trunk, type of noise when going over certain bumbs. It's not all the time so it is kinda hard to hear, but I know my car. It also has a slight low grinding noise when accelerating from about 1000rpm's to around 11-1200 rpms, not really from a stop position, more like cruising then hitting the gas a little is when I hear the low growly noise. I know I am just going to bring it back to the auto repair shop, but wanted to know kinda what I was talking about to avoid getting a run around. any ideas?
Thank you!

How long should it break in? It's been about a month since I got it back. I noticed the noise a day or two after, but figured it needed to break in so I didn't bring it back yet. And what about a new car, would that have a break in period to..? that you would hear squeaks? Thanks for the reply.
