Ran my '14 V6 in the quarter mile
I finally got a chance to run my car at the track, it was a hell of a lot of fun and I can't wait to go back.
I'm running an Airraid CAI and Steeda 93 octane tune. Tires are Goodyear Eagle F1 255/40/19. MT-82, stock shifter, 3.31 gears. I pre-heated the tires before each run. The car had no wheel hop - big thanks to the BMR springs. Outside temp was around 80 degrees and very high humidity.
Best time was 13.82@101.7
I ran three 13.8's, five 13.9's, and a hand full of 14.00 runs, all around 100-101.
60 foot times were 2.1-2.2
I shifted at 7,000 and went through the traps in 3rd gear at 7,300. I tried a couple runs shifting at 6,500 and it slowed the car down.
My launch needs a lot of improvement as it's hard to find the sweet spot. Feathering the clutch helps but I still need to find the best break-even between bogging and spinning. 2,000RPM launch bogs, 2,300RPM launch spins the **** out of the tires.
The car as-is feels capable of 13.7s with more improvement on my technique.
Some of you know I installed a catless H pipe recently. I ended up removing it as it was too raspy above 3k and I drive a lot for work. I also had issues with the engine sputtering above 4,500RPM at WOT.
Moving forward I'm looking into getting a set of drag radials. With better traction the car should be capable of solid mid 13's, possibly even a 13.4.
There was a turbo 5.0 running high 10's, it was badass. There was a stock 5.0 running low 13's. There was an 05-09 GT running low 14's, and a 99-04 GT running low 14's. There was an Ecoboost F-150 running solid 13.50's at 98 - definitely tuned. And a tuned Taurus SHO running 13.20's and a stock Taurus SHO running low 14's.
Heck yeah!

Did the same Friday. No hookup over 2200. nothing under 14.02. I'm using nitto street radials. I got a 13.766 last year on the pirellis. Still a blast. Keep it up!

Thanks guys! I had a blast. I'm going to order a bit more aggressive tune from MPT or Lund and see if it's an improvement over my Steeda tune, also going to continue working on launch. Does anyone know if the SCT tuner has the ability to program in a stationary rev limiter? It would be nice to hold the RPM's at a pre-set point and then open up when the car starts moving. I thought I read somewhere they could do that but maybe I was wrong.
ledsled - not a bad time at all! Especially the 13.7 on Pirellis! I've heard Nittos hook pretty good, what's your impression of them?
And yes, you guys should get to the track! Even the 1/8th mile, better than nothing! My track is about 45 minutes from me.
