radio just says mustang WTF

I did just do a quick search and nothing. I'm just about to leave for a lengthy road trip, start up the car and the radio display just says Mustang and the current outside temp. I'm like huh, WTF? Checked the fuses and nothing. The only thing that was different is that I had my GPS plugged in for like 4 hrs this afternoon, that's it.
If anyone can help I would appreciate it.
Thanks in advance CJ

Can you do a sync health report? Mine doesn't say Mustang at all, ever.

No sorry I don't have sync basic radio. I just went out and disconnected the battery and waited 10 minutes. Turned it back on a it's working fine.

Mustang radio doesn't work

SO I finally figured it out. I removed the exterior covers. Put a cd in. Jiggled the wires around in the back if the cd tray. In a couple seconds it kept reading bad disc. Then I took a rubber handled screw driver and smacked just below the cd tray to the right hand side above the logo CoFoMo 4 or 5 times and it suddenly came back to life. It's a short in the radio.
