question

Hit a pothole yesterday. so i went in to get an alignment. While the car was on the 4 post hydraulic machine, checking for potential damage the mechanic jacked up my rear end by the axle tubes using built in hydraulic jack on the center of the machine. Is this the right way? Then he proceeded jacking up the front using the k member arms after the rear was lowered. At home i always using the jack points on the rails makes me nervous when he uses axle tubes and k member arms.

Yup, that is correct. Jacking rails are really for emergency roadside side, and personal garage operation.

Is there specific location on putting the jack on the k member or axle tube?
