Quality Hold at Flat Rock.
I just received a call from my rep at Ford CRC. Ford has called a Quality Hold to inspect for leaking transmissions. The rep could not tell me how long this will take to clear up or how much it will delay delivery.

Oh, how about that. I had one of those.

Guess I should have updated... they replaced the front seal and the torque converter and it's been fine since.

There was no mention as to which type of transmission was being inspected. I have to admit that I assumed it was the MT82, as that's the one i ordered & the transmission most complained about on the forum.

My car was completed & sitting on ramp 5P as of 5/27/11 & it still hasn't shipped. I was told by my rep at Ford CRC, that Ford changed transporter companies in an effort to speed up the delivery process. If your car has left Flat Rock in route to you, then you are a lucky guy.

My car was built 6/4 and was delivered to my dealer on 6/5. I picked it up on 6/6. No shipping issues for me . . . I will have to look for a transmission leak later tonight.

I just got a voice mail from my rep at the CRC. My car has cleared the Quality Hold & it's status has been changed to "In Transit". I'm not sure if it's on a truck, headed my way or just sitting in a different section of the ramp.

I can only pass on the info my rep at Ford CRC gives to me. I sent an e-mail to the manager of Ramp 5P, to get a better idea of when the car would ship, but I didn't receive a response.

Ive heard that the new V-6 eng on the 2012 Mustangs, coming out of Flat Rock, MI has a shortage of eng's? Sure, and I just placed the order 3wks ago...
Called the dealer and all he came up with is the special paint, is on hold, cause it comes from Japan, go figure

Several Mustang paints are, indeed, tsunami affected. Lava Red (balanced out or the remainder of the year), Kona Blue (due to run out in about a month), and Red Candy (being reformulated to a new paint code).
