Puddle lights replacement lens

Are there replacement lens for the puddle lights? After almost 4 years of washes its getting scratched pretty well and it looks like my Mustang is running through a hailstorm. Not the most important question, but....

Your's lasted 4 years? My car is an early 2013 (picked up May 2012 - ordered it earlier) with 25k miles. I've I gone through a couple sets of hem. The lenses were fine, its the black matte in them them made the pony logo that cracked up and produced a garbled image. First couple were replaced under warranty. The next couple I replaced myself with OEM ones.

There is more than one part number for them since they were revised because the earlier ones were prone to failure just like I had. But it seems the newer ones I got are just as bad.

They are $17/each @ Auto Nationm Ford

I don't remember the exact part numbers of the ones I bought from them, but I just did some searching on their site and there are 2 different ones. One set for the the 2015+ Mustang for $60 each and one for the 2013+ Mustang for $17 each.... noticed i wrote 2013+, that is because it lists it as aslo fitting the 2015+. I don't know that the difference is between them.

Left and right sides have different part numbers and I'm not sure If I have the correct ones below. I did keep the old boxes, but they aren't near me right now. I'll update this post if I can confirm he part numbers.

2013+ for $17 ea

2015+ for $61 ea

In the diagram, they appear a slightly different shape. Maybe the 2013-2014 ones will fit a 2015-2017, but not the other way around? I don't know.

The only other difference I can see in the description is "with blind spot" vs "without blind spot", but don't all Mustangs of those years come with the blind spot mirror?

I believe it's talking about the blind spot light and sensor built in the mirror as opposed to the corner being a separate little mirror.

The more expensive ones are designed for the 2015+ that come with BLISS.

However you could have a 15+ without BLISS which is why the cheaper ones are listed as 13+.

I didn't realize that 2015+ had BLISS as an option. I've driven a few turbo-4 premium rentals and they didn't have it. It must be a separate option.

I have driven some Audi and BMW that had BLISS or whatever their version is called and I found it annoying. The blind spot mirror that Ford uses is much better and cheaper. No annoying lights or sounds and no electronics to fail..... and this is coming from a software guy....

I'm assuming that the blind spot light is some separate component, which my Mustang doesn't have in any case. It does have the small concave mirror in the upper corners of each side mirror but the only blind spot avoidance is me; paying attention to my surroundings.

It looks like the part I need is #5 in the exploded diagram so that leads to another question. Does this project involve disassembly of the mirror components for access or can I get away with simply unplugging the old light unit and replacement with the new one?

It snaps in and pops out quite easily. No disassembly. Look under the mirror and you'll see the tab.

Took me only 8 months to pull the trigger but I found both sides OEM replacement on EBay for $41 for the set. They installed just as easily as the above responses indicated. Success!

Sorry for responding so late, Melissa. I haven't checked the thread in a while. I found my original sale record on Ebay and, while the puddle lights are still available, the price has skyrocketed. Whereas I bought the both of them for $43 in 2017, the same vendor is now listing a pair for $120!

You can find individual lamps for $50-$60 but with shipping it would probably be a wash. Good luck, maybe you can stumble on a sale or something.
