Sorry is this has been covered. But, I noticed on the order form it shows a priority number of 10. Can anyone explain what is the purpose of this number? Thanks in advance.

 

Hey Jim, the priority code is for Ford to know how urgent it is to build the car. Retail orders can use number 10 as the lowest. This is the best and this will ensure it gets built as soon as allocation allows it. Numbers 01-09 are used internally for Ford, once an order is "pulled" for production a few days before its scheduled. If its a stock unit, the number starts at 20+. If a dealer puts an order in for stock and gives it, a 50 for example, that won't get built for a while. If someone orders a car, retail, and the dealer does't put a low number (like 10 or 12, etc) but a higher number (like 50 or so), don't expect the car for a while. Tapa, I like the color of your '10. The Wifey was torn on the '13 between GB and RC, but decided to go with RC this time. Her car, and when Momma's happy.........I'm sure you know the rest.

 

Haha, RC is definitely nice, I was torn between GB and SG, I really liked the '10s GB, so I had to stick with it. I can't want for my first update......

Mine was a 9 I waited 6 months I don't know if that was the priority for urgent or "whenever u have time"

 

My priority number was 20 and I got my car in 4 weeks.
