Pricing...is this correct?

http://www.topspeed.com/cars/car-new...d-ar67009.html

OMG, Looking over the packages I KNOW I wouldn't want this package:

Electronics Package (85X) - $2,700
Voice Activated Navigation System: In-Dash Screen, Single DVD/CD/MP3 Player, DVD Audio/Video Capability, Interanal Hard Disk Drive for Map, POI Storage, 10GB Jukebox, Support for SYNC & Other Multi-Media Devices (Audio Input Jack), Dual Zone Automatic Temperature Control

The other site was complaining about the $935 price increase but stability control and 18 inch wheels would easily cost that much on an option sheet. I know it sucks if you don't want those options but its a good value overall.

don't forget sync, which is a $395 option on other cars, IIRC.

18" wheels
Sync
Stability control
Lit Mustang in door sill

Whether you actually want those things or not, they are definitely a bargain at $935.

If they bring the 400hp 5.0 with little or no price increase it will be a heck of a deal, but as it stands the F5 Camaro is really the better deal right now since the base V8 car is around 30k

Why are the options so expensive this year? That almost seems to make the whole package a lot more expensive!

Look at this! Why so much?

GT Track Package (67T) - $1,445
Dual Piston Calipers, Performance Brake Pads, 3.73 Axle Ratio, Recalibrated Stability Control

We don't even know if this is correct or not, wait till Ford announces it.

I can't wait for the build and price option to come up on their website.

Geez, and I thought BMW options were steep. There goes the huge price advantage over the Camaro SS or the Challenger R/T, and with a lot less motor, tranny, suspension and brakes to show for it.

Can we day sales, discounts and rebates after about week two on sale...

I wouldn't complain too much about that price....go buy a set of gears, have them installed along with a tuner to correct the speedometer then go buy the upgraded calipers and performance pads as well and I bet you come out more than that price.

I think the Mustang still has the price advantage. What's the options on the Camaro and Challenger?

And you forgot if something goes wrong, just try and get that covered under warranty.

Probably a little some, but not nearly enough to make up for the far greater mechanical content of its two main rivals. IIRC, both the Charger R/T and Camaro SS start right around $30K and include engines, trannies, brakes and suspension a Mustang GT couldn't get at any price.

Just Remember the Old Adage. The More Complex the Plumbing the easier it is to clog the Drain.

+1 Its a complete buyers market on the GT500's right now!

If ANY dealer out there is still charging an ADM (or even MSRP) they need to step back and put the pipe down because they're foolish, there are still new 2008 GT500's on dealer lots, not to mention the 2009's they have as well!

A local dealer has 3. Two of which are 2008's. and they still want $6,000 over MSRP for the coupe and $8,000 for the convertibles, MORONS! I asked them why they are doing that and they said they cant keep them in the showroom, they told me they had sold 4 2009's already, and I asked them why the heck they thought they had 2 2008's and the answer I got was "they have weird color and stripe options" I said, oh yea, thats it!

One is white, no stripes and one is Grabber Orange with white stripes, but still.

The GT Premium went up $935 and you get the 18" wheels in the package. To bad they didn't put the 19" wheels in here for that price.

Don't worry Mas35NYR, I got the joke. And there is no way I'm paying for that.

Cost me about $700 for a set of 3.73's installed by dealer ( covered under warranty) now add in the rest of the stuff...and to think people complained of the CS markup for cosmetic stuff.
