Price of a used 2014 GT?
I'm looking into buying a used, low mileage 2014 GT. If anyone bought one in the last few months or know a price at which one was sold please share! I'd like to know if it's just worth it to get a new 2015 instead or if I'll save enough money by buying used! Thanks

Here's a link to what looks like a great '14 GT:

Based on the pic and description, there's nothing not to like about this car. Well thought-out mods, terrific color, good price. Someone will be getting a very sweet ride for a good price of admission.

In general, I'm really not sure how '14 prices have dropped now that the '15's are all over. My advice is always to check values on KBB.com, NADA.com and Edmund's TMV. Between those three, you'll have a pretty good gauge to start with. Personally, I bet the price is close enough that it should really come down to which car you like better.

The prices of 14's really hasn't fallen a ton. All depends if car is a base or premium and how many options. As they age it will not matter as much. On a 1-3yr old model the options are taken into factor for value.
As an example, my 14 with 2300 miles could trade in now for $32k. My sticker was $44.6k and was bought for $36k last year with all incentives.
My bro in law just got a 2015 Base GT and paid $29k at the same dealer. So it really depends on the options and market.

Should a few thousand miles on a car that i prefer worry me when i can purchase a brand new one for the same price? That's basically what i'm trying to decide. i can afford either car, however the smarter decision would be to buy the new GT but I would prefer to have a 2014 instead. And the 2014 would have a few thousand miles on it which concerns me as it's not technically brand new and I don't know how the previous owner treated the car or why they would get rid of it with so few miles. Basically I'm weighing the pros and cons of buying either the car I'd prefer, but used, or the one that's a smarter decision and new.
Try the locater. If you've never used this here's what to do:
1) enter a local zip code, even expand perhaps another 100 miles to another
2) in the left column for Vehicle & Model de-select 2015
3) enter model preference (GT, GT Premium)
4) select body style
5) chances are you're not going to find exactly the color and interior you want, so leave those blank
6) select trans type in Power and Handling
It'll bring you to a page that might say either Exact Matches Found or No Exact Matches Found. If no exact matches are found, click the Extended Inventory tab at the top and it'll show Mustangs with your criteria at other dealers in the area. Find the one you like and you can view the window sticker for options.

For example, I plugged in the zip for Warwick, RI and selected a GT Premium Coupe with a stick. 2 exact matches came up in Ingot Silver and DIB. Then I went into extended inventory and found 19 more exact matches in Race Red, Ruby Red, lots of Black ones, Oxford White and SGM and additional Ingot Silvers and DIB's. MSRP's range from $36K - $44K.
They're out there.

Thinking back, I wish I had bought mine slightly used with 2-5k on the odometer. I'd save between 10-15k that I could use for better brakes, wheels, tires, and supercharger
